"Kinda like Stephen King's Graveyard Shift...with a twist."

-Graphics 8/10-

While slightly grainy, these graphics showed what Sega CD was capable of. The cut-scenes were the first FMV to be used in video gaming to my knowledge. A treat to watch, in both the game, and the FMV cut-scenes, it's like being drawn into a movie.

Not only that, but the game is centered around real-time drawing, which makes it realistic to watch. However, you'll see that shading in the game is slightly blocky, as this was, again, one of the first games to offer a FMV-type setting.

-Sound 9/10-

Some of the best sound, it offered movie-quality sound in which your partner, and your on-board computer buddy constantly talked to you. Giving you directions and yelling at you. It sounds as good as it looks.

The effects are also amazing for a game this old. Everything comes out clear, and you'll hear even the smallest nuiances of effects, stretching the limits of your hearing to the max.

-Control 8/10-

Simple, and to the point. You steer your vehicle through the sewers, and blast rats from the walls. It doesn't really get much simplier than this.

Although, it can be difficult, to move you cursors around to hit all of the rats, or make tunnel changes. It will take some time to get used to, but nothing that you can't figure out in 10 or fifteen minutes.

-Gameplay 8/10-

It's got a good story worked into the play. You're whole objective, is to kill the rats, and make it to the end of the game without blowing up.

This sounds easy, but it's not. The camera keeps twisting, and you need to get a lock on the rats, along with making tunnel switches at the right points in order to proceed, if you miss a rat, or a tunnel switch, it's bye bye birdie, and you're scattered across the sewer.

-Overall 8/10-

This game is another example of what the Sega CD was capable of if third party companies hadn't pulled out for PSX and N64. This game is also a piece of video gaming history, that you just can't pass up if you have the money to buy a game..and you have this system.
