"Dragon's Lair? Not quite."

Well, well, well. Another FMV (live video) game, there are a lot, and I mean a lot of these on the SEGA CD, I actually think that the SEGA CD is 90% FMV. Which for me is not bad, I just got the Power Rangers game for the SEGA CD and...not bad. I played it when I was 8 and thought I would like to own it for once, I'm glad I do. On, to the review.

Story: Story!? Watch the show, there's your story, yes, the very same story line used in the show is used in this game...nothing added, nothing change, which isn't bad, just not new. Overall, an 8/10.

Graphics: Now, let's see the graphics, it's a FMV live video game, so the graphics are great...not quite, you see the video is perfect, it's just the video quality...it's blocky and a little color less at time. After all it is the SEGA CD, and it couldn't handle FMV games that well, the picture would be blocky or have bad color. They are not horrible though, just decent. Overall 7/10.

Sound: The sound is great, it is all the voice acting and sound effects from the show, plus some bonus sounds added in. They are the beeps for when you make a right or wrong move, and the adding points up sounds at the end of an episode. So the sound effects are perfect, couldn't ask for anything better. Overall 10/10.

Originality: Yes, this is a new category I am adding in my reviews, so get off my back. Well, this game isn't THAT fresh. After all it's game play is from the great dragon's lair arcade game. Also the live video is just episodes that were aired on TV, nothing new. So, it's nothing new, but it doesn't hurt the game that bad. Overall 2/10.

Voice Acting: Well, it is a live video game after all. The voice acting is just like the show, decent and kind of bad at time. It wasn't that big of a budget show after all, and neither was this game, since it is the show just put into reflexive game play. So, the voice acting is horrible, but not great. Overall 6/10.

Controls: Simple. Press up, down, left, right, A, B, or C when prompted to, that easy. Overall 10/10.

Game-play: Ok, now the game play. The game is pretty fun to play, assuming you enjoyed the game play in dragon's lair or brain-dead 13, or even space ace. If that is the case, there is a very good chance that you eat this game up...oh you also may need to be a power rangers fan, then again I'm not, so you may just have to like dragon's lair. The game is easy to play...really easy. Just push the buttons at the right time when they show up on screen. It's that easy! Actually beating the game on the hardest level may be a challenge. The game uses a unique idea not used in dragon's lair, combo button presses, at times you will have to press A, B, and C at the same time, and keep pressing them fast to feel up a meter. Other wise, massive damage will happen to your health bar. Yes, unlike dragon's lair you have life and continues, and you can keep earning continues through the game when you get to a certain score. You have to pay attention to three button presses and four directions. Up, down, left, right, A, B, and C, plus the combo button press. The action is fast pace and the episodes fun to watch while you play. Overall 7/10.

Game Overall, 7/10.

So, is this game great...NO! Not hardly, is it good fun, yes, and in the end that is all they were aiming for. Well, I hope you had fun reading this review. Also check the other reviews on this game, the two bad ones to get a different opinion. Then decide for yourself, whether you'll like it or not.
