In this FAQ I have typed up the dialogue and story related text that appears
in Spellcaster for the Sega Master System. The text is as it appears in the
game except it's not all capitals.

enemy remains

Tokak village to
guard Enriku
temple,
but there has been
no word from them.
Kane, your destiny
is somehow bound
to the attacks on
our temples.
Our fates are in
your hands.
Will you go there
to help us learn
the nature of the
enemy?
Kane: Count on

Kane brandishes
the sword of
Kusanagi.
The sword begins
to release its
pent-up energy.
Kane is
surrounded
the men disappear
one by one.

happening? What
is the sword
doing?
The sword...
We...augghhh!!
The remnants of
the men of Iwato
begin to run!
Kane: The sword
of Kusanagi saved
me!
But I still don't
understand what
is really going
on.
Somehow this
mystery involves
me.
I first must
return to Daikak
and report to him.
Maybe he can
figure out what
is going on.
Kane quickly
heads back for
Summit Temple.

the main shrine.

Enter the main
hall of the
shrine!"
(after entering the shrine)
Shimazu: Welcome,
Kane. What do you
want to say?
Kane: I have come to
revive your god!
Why do you
prevent
me from righting
the wrong that
has been done?
Shimazu: We
do want our
god revived...
Asaka: Shimazu!
Don't tell me you
believe him!!
Shimazu: But
there are so many
riddles!
Why can he use the
sword of Kusanagi?
And who has
restored our
powers, and for
what reason?
I think Daikak is
hiding something
from us!
Kane, a truce! I
want to talk with
Daikak!
Shimazu and
Asaka disappear...

Suddenly, Shimazu

Shimazu and the
others are being
attacked
Kane: I have to
go help them!
(after defeating the enemy)
Kane: Shimazu,

Shimazu: I'm done

Shimazu gives
Kane a sphere.
There is a
strange mark on
the sphere.
Shimazu: I meant
to give you this
before, but...
this sphere will
help you to
restore our god!
Kane: What were
all of you
planning to do?
Shimazu: We
wanted to get
revenge for our
ancestors!
Kane: Revenge??
For your
ancestors?
Shimazu: Against
the Tenson tribe
who stole our
land
Your people are
their
descendants.
All will be
resolved by the
serpent of
Yamato.
Kane, go to the
Kumano Shrine
and see Utsuho.

serpent-god Ooku!
Ooku: Long ago
the Iwato ruled
a highly advanced
world.
In their time
they trapped an
evil lord which
threatened their
planet.
But in trapping
the beast they
used up their
magic force and
were ruined.
For many years
they kept
this beast trapped
in a pyramid on a
distant planet.
When your people
came, the few
remaining Iwato
decided not to
interfere, choosing
instead to fade
away, taking the
secret of the
evil lord with
them.
This is the truth
behind the
legends.
Kane, evil beings
seek to revive the
evil lord.
He is trapped in
the pyramid on
Mt.Minakami!
This ship is
heading for the
place.
You must stop the
forces of evil
from taking over
the pyramid!
Computer: Throttle up to
120 percent; all
systems go.

takeoff.
The ameno has

Mt.Minakami.
