Welcome to my PAR codes list for Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. In total there are
183 PAR codes. Each contains the code, and either the range in numbers they
can have or a list of what the code can only have. Every code was created by
me, so I can guarantee that all of them work.

If you find any bugs with either the codes, something else contained in the
the text file, or have a complaint, comment, or compliment, send it to my
e-mail. For anyone who doesn't understand the layout of the codes, make sure
to read the "Code Layout Explanation" section, because I won't respond to
e-mails asking that.

The code layout is pretty simple to use once understood. We're going to use
an example code just to make it easier on you.

0-255 (00-FF)

From top to bottom: the PAR code name, a possible description or explanation
of what the code can do or cause, the code followed by the code displaying the
max amount in parenthesis, and the value range in decimal form followed by the
hexadecimal form in parenthesis. To actually apply what number you want into
the PAR code, you will have to replace the question marks with the number in
hexadecimal value of what you want. To get 255 in hex, just replace the
question marks with FF; to get 99 in hex, enter 63. If you want to learn how to
covert decimal to hexadecimal (allowing you to use the exact numbers you
insert), refer to the bottom of this section.

An example of a code with a list:

This code is exactly like the one shown previously with the exception of the
ending. There's a list of the possibilities to choose from. On some lists, it's
possible to add all of the items from it together. Lists that contain choices
which are able to be added together contain a shown max value for the address
and a hexadecimal value containing "All of the Above".

An example of a code with multiple addresses:

The code requires you to enter two PAR codes to enable the number to go up to
the maximum value. For these types of codes, it is a little different compared
to the ones that range from 0 to 255, so if you have little of no knowledge
about hexadecimal numbers, it's best to set the two PAR code question marks to
FF. It may get complicated to set it to the amount you prefer.

If you want to know how to change a certain number into hexadecimal, follow
these steps (only applies to Windows):

1. Open the program 'Calculator'. For Windows XP (may apply to other versions
   of Windows), click start and click Run. Type down "calc" (without the
   quotations) and press enter.
2. Set the calculator to scientific, if it's not already set. To do this, click
   View at the top menu and click Scientific.
3. Make sure decimal mode is on, and enter the number you want to convert.
4. Set it to hex mode, which will convert the number.
5. Replace the question marks with the number(s)/letter(s) you see.

You can also type into Google: "(insert decimal number here) to hex". Ex. "78
to hex" which will result in 4E. Just ignore the 0x part as it doesn't pertain
to the actual code.

It's best to turn off the code when not on the world map
because the game will get glitchy. Simply turn it back on
when you go back to the world map. Also, if you try to move
to an area where the code created a flashing arrow when it
was previously a nonexisting arrow, it'll mess up on where
your location is.
