==========================================================================

This Boss FAQ is only meant to help you dispose of the end-of-level foes
populating each "level" quickly while taking as less damage as possible.
If you're looking for help related to any other aspect of Brain Lord, I
suggest you check out R0CKv1LLAN's and Dr Gamewiz's guides.

I'm also assuming you know the basics of the game such as attacking,
jumping and guarding, which is why I'm jumping directly into the boss
strategies.

Note: Since no official names were released for the bosses, I made them
up based on their appearance. In any case, the list is in the order
in which you'll be encountering them. I have also included their
location to make referencing even easier.

==========================================================================

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

BOSS NAME: Big Cockroach

LOCATION: Tower of Light (4F)

ATTACKS: Spits out smaller cockroaches.
Move forth and back nears the edges of the screen (although
this isn't actually an attack, it will hurt you if you are
           caught in its path).

STRATEGY: The Big Cockroach is a very easy opponent, and you shouldn't
have a hard time beating it. The key here is to remain within
the middle rug where you won't get caught in its erratic
           paths.

If you are using a long-range weapon such as the boomerang,
you can safely hit it from the rug without having to get close
to it. Else, you may have to quickly run forward to attack it
before returning to the rug. The cockroach will move as soon
as you strike it, so make sure you are not inadvertently
           caught in its path.

When it spits out the smaller cockroaches, don't waste your
time killing all of them since he'll just spew another set
to replace the dead ones. Just get rid of those that may harm
you and those that are getting in your way. Otherwise, avoiding
them is radically easy such that you should quickly dispose of
           this first boss.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

BOSS NAME: Giant Beetle

LOCATION: Ancient Ruins (4F)

ATTACKS: Causes 2 gray balls to move around.
Tries to suck you into him.

STRATEGY: The Giant Beetle may be tough to defeat if you don't have any
long-range weapons, as he can only be attacked when his eye
is open. Unfortunately, his main attack, whereby he stops
moving and sucks everything in (i.e. you and the balls) makes
getting close to him extremely dangerous, specially when one
realizes how this is uber powerful and can radically deplete
all of Remeer's life. Thus, your best weapon against him is
           the Boomerang.

To get away from him when he tries to suck you in, simply
jump constantly while running away from him. Should you
get stuck in one of the balls' path, let yourself be run
over by the ball -- i.e. keep jumping even if this means
you will lose life when you are stuck by the ball. This is
the best choice since the life lost when hit by the ball is
neglible compared to that lost when the beetle gnaws at your
           puny ego.

Otherwise, keep moving all the time to avoid the balls and
the beetle, jump to avoid his main attack, and throw your
boomerang at him when his eye is open. He doesn't take that
           many hits to die.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

BOSS NAME: Ramus

LOCATION: Ice Castle (B3)

ATTACK: 3 Ghosts attack you.

STRATEGY: Given how there's so much hype around Ramus, you'd think the
guy (although 'guys' would actually be more appropriate since
Ramus is essentially 3 ghosts), but he's easy if you know what
           to do.

You NEED the Stop magic for this fight, as it's the only way
to attack them. Once they're stunned, you may then attack them
until the magic effect disappears. Lather, rinse, repeat. It
is also recommended to concentrate on one ghost first until
he's dead before moving on to the next. You'll instantly know
when a certain ghost can be attacked since it'll turn brown.
Their color returns to blue when the effect wears off, so be
ready to use your Stop magic again as soon as this happens.

Granted, the fact that the ground is slippery tends to make
things harder, but you shouldn't have any problem if you have
the Spike Shoes. The holes can also be easily avoided (you
really shouldn't have any problem if you've come this far).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

BOSS NAME: Demon King

LOCATION: Platinum Shrine (F4)

ATTACKS: Attacks with his tail.
Moves around randomly (gets faster when his face is broken).
           Makes holes appear.

STRATEGY: At first, only his tail can be attacked and it is infinitely
better to use the Morning Star or the Heavy Mall to do so.
Keep at a distance so you can evade his attacks and keep
hitting him with either flail until his face breaks.

Aim for his face as soon as this happens. You should also be
extremely careful as from now on since the Demon King will get
faster and will move frantically. Keep attacking him in the
face until you can move on to his body. 2 of its legs will
also turn into monsters that will attack you. Fend these
off and concentrate on the king's body until he dies.

Additionally, be very careful as you are moving about once
his head turns pink because of the holes that will randomly
appear. This fight isn't really _that_ hard if you do exactly
as I say, but it takes a lot of time, specially if you are
using one of the inferior long-range weapons such as the
boomerang. Moreover, it's a good idea to jump from time to
time instead of merely running about. This will help you a
lot and will prevent you from losing life unnecessarily.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And with the Demon King defeated, you have now completed the game! Enjoy
the ending and congratulate yourself for beating one of the most
underrated action RPG's on the SNES.

Feel free to drop me a work about this guide. Feedback is always welcome.
