< < < < < < < < < < < < < <

Greetings, I'm Mansion Maniac, I was able to get Clayfighters for Christmas
one year, and it's a unique fighting game that I suggest everyone should try
just once. After months of my good friend Randy "Carpainter" Lilley hinting
at how neat it would be to make an FAQ, I've finally decided to do one on
this game, which is pretty much devoid of any attention in the GameFAQs
community. Nonetheless, enjoy this FAQ, and hopefully, you find this
helpful, to a large (or even small) extent.

\ III. Controls /

Y = Quick Punch
R = Brutal Kick (Some characters use this to throw)

Right = Move Right
Left = Move Left
Up = Jump
Down = Crouch

These controls can be changed.

The story so far...

An abandoned amusement park called "Playland" sits peacefully when all of a
sudden a meteor made of 100% Pure Clay strikes a satellite...and then a
tire...and then a tub...and then a cow...all before it "seemingly with
purpose", heads straight toward the amusement park. The amusement park
suddenly becomes dark and is renamed "Clayland". From the burning rubble of
the meteor's strike, warriors arise, among them a snowman, a mutated piece
of taffy, and an Elvis impersonator. All these figures (entirely made out of
clay, and rumored to be previous amusement park workers) fight other clay
mutations in a battle for "King of the Circus".

\ V. Character Moves /
< < < < < < < < < < < < < < <

(Note: The speeds of all the character's special moves are affected by which
punch or kick button you use, Quick punches and kicks go the slowest, and
Brutal punches and kicks go the fastest. Also, some characters can "Grab"
their opponent when pressing the Brutal punch button right next to them, some
can also "Throw" their opponents when pressing the Brutal kick button right
next to them. You will be told who can Grab and Throw.)

--- --- ------
Bad Mr. Frosty
--- --- ------

*Grabs (Bearhug)*

Big Arm Sideswipe Hack: Hold Down (3+ seconds), Up+Punch

Bad Mr. Frosty extends his arm (kind of like one of those extendo gloves) and
smashes his arm into his opponent's face. It's one of the more devastating
moves in the game.

Flying Headbutt: Toward, Down, Toward+Punch

Bad Mr. Frosty does a quick jump to the air, and bends slightly, exposing his
head, which, if at the right point of space, will connect with his opponent,
knocking him back.

Frozen Fist: Down, Toward+Punch

Bad Mr. Frosty releases his hand from the rest of his body in this fireball
style attack. His hand regenerates and an audible "Cool!" can be heard
from Bad Mr. Frosty.

Ice Ball: Left, Down, Right (Basically a semicircle scroll)+Punch

A variation of the snowball, the ice ball does slightly more damage, Bad Mr.
Frosty makes an audible "Cool!" on this move.

Shoulder Charge: Back, Forward+Punch

Bad Mr. Frosty slides across the stage with his feet and charges
shoulder-first into his opponent.

Snowball: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Forward+Punch

Bad Mr. Frosty shows off his Blanka-esque rolling skills by turning
himself into a snowball before rolling across the ground, trying to
knock his opponent over. Bad Mr. Frosty makes an audible "Dig that!"
when he begins to roll. (Note: While holding Back, if you jump up
then do the rest of the move, you can become a midair snowball)

Rising Snowball: Down, Up+Punch

Just as Blanka had a rolling attack that went up at an arch, so too does
Bad Mr. Frosty have a rolling attack where he rises in the air.

Snow Slide: Down, Toward+Kick

Bad Mr. Frosty lays down on his back and slides foot first into the opponent.

-----
Taffy
-----

*Grabs (With one arm and punches with the other)*
*Throws (Over his back)*

Faking Dizziness: Down, Back+Punch

Taffy fakes being dizzy until any punch or kick button is pressed, barely has
any effect on the computer, but good to fool people you're playing against.

Taffy Tornado: Left, Down, Right+Punch

Taffy twists his legs and body up, and extends his hands while twirling into
the opponent's direction. Perhaps Taffy's most devastating move.

Aerial Tornado: Forward, Down, Forward+Punch

A variation of the Taffy Tornado, Taffy lifts himself into the air while
doing his tornado move.

Taffy Whack Kick: Back, Forward+Kick

One half of the most useless moves duo in the game. Taffy simply stretches
his legs out to kick, this does moderate damage. His Brutal kick stretches
farther than this move.

Taffy Whack Punch: Back, Forward+Kick

The other half of said useless moves duo in the game. Taffy simply stretches
his arm out to punch. This stretches out about as much as Taffy's Brutal
punch, and nearly lays out the same amount of damage.

Two-Fisted Charge: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Forward+Punch

Taffy slides across the stage with his two arms stretched out next to each
other away from his face, sliding into the opponent

----
Tiny
----

*Grabs (Bearhug)*
*Throws (Over his back while kneeling)*

Air Tackle: Hold Down (3+ seconds), Press Medium Punch+Medium Kick

Tiny jumps into the air, arms outstretched. This move is ineffective if the
opponent is just standing on the ground, but can be useful if the opponent
jumps in the air toward you.

Backfist Whip: Down, Back+Punch

Tiny runs up to his opponent and punches him wih his right arm, turning his
back to the screen. Basically a reversed version of his Sucker Punch, Tiny
can be heard saying "Wimp!" (Or possibly "Whip!") during this move.

Medicine Ball: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Toward+Punch

Another Blanka-type rolling move, Tiny curls into a ball and hurls himself
into the opponent.

Arcing Medicine Ball: Hold Down (3+ seconds), Up+Punch

Yes, this is a rising version of Tiny's Medicine Ball.

Sucker Punch: Down, Forward+Punch

Tiny runs up to the opponent and wallops him with his left arm, a mediocre
move with moderate damage.

--- ----
The Blob
--- ----

*Grabs (Eats the opponent and beats him up from the inside*

Buzzsaw: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Forward+Punch

The Blob turns into a Buzzsaw and attemps to saw through his opponent, if
blocked, The Blob stops. (In the original version, The Blob would attempt to
keep sawing through his opponent if it was blocked, thus creating more damage
then it would have made had it not been blocked.)

Clay Spit: Down, Forward+Punch

Just as it sounds, The Blob spits up some clay at his opponent, in a fireball-
type fashion.

Flying Roundhouse Kick: Forward, Down, Forward+Punch

A good way to fool your opponent, The Blob flips over the opponent, if your
aim is right and The Blob lands on the other side of his opponent, he'll kick
his opponent and knock him back. Provided this move isn't countered by a
punch or a jumping attack.

Verticle Clay Stomp: Hold Down, Press Brutal Kick

Not a very special move, as it's just the jumping version of The Blob's Brutal
kick, all you really can do is hope to "flatten" your opponent.

Arcing Clay Stomp: Forward, Down, Forward+Brutal Kick

A variation of the unimpressive Verticle Clay Stomp, all The Blob does with
this is move a bit closer to his opponent while doing the Verticle Clay Stomp.

---- ----- ---
Blue Suede Goo
---- ----- ---

*Throws (Over his back)*

Hair Blade: Down, Back+Punch

Blue Suede Goo whips his hair out to the opponent, cutting him in half.

Hair Slice: Forward, Down+Kick

A version of the Hair Blade, but it's more of a close range move, as the hair
doesn't stretch out as long as the Hair Blade.

Humming Attack: Down, Forward+Punch

Blue Suede Goo holds out his hand and a music note comes out in a fireball
fashion to hit the opponent.

Song of Pain: Back, Down, Forward, Back+Kick

The Humming Attack times five, five music notes come out to hit the opponent
for big damage. Hard to pull off, but it's Blue Suede Goo's most devastating
move.

------- ----
Ickybod Clay
------- ----

*Grabs (Bearhugs while biting)*
*Throws (Over his back, along with a "Hoo hoo hoo ha ha ha" laugh)*

Dart Drive: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Forward+Punch

Ickybod Clay goes for a "spear" of sorts, throwing himself at his opponent
with his fists out. This move can be done in midair.

Ecto Ball: Down, Forward+Punch

Another fireball move, this one made of Ickybod Clay's ectoplasm.

Ecto Punch: Forward, Down+Punch

An uppercut (despite the name, contains no ectoplasm), must be done at a close
range.

Teleport: Punch+Kick (Must be the same type)

Not an attack move, but another one of those strategy moves that you can use
to throw your playing buddy off. The punch and kick buttons you press have to
be the same type in order to make it work. The Quick style teleports him to
the left side of the arena, the Medium to the center, and the Brutal to the
right side. You can also Teleport in midair.

-----
Helga
-----

*Grabs (Bearhug)*
*Throws (Over the back with a giggle)*

Valkyrie's Ride: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Down, Toward+Kick

Helga turns around and jumps at her opponent butt-first.

Viking Ram: Down, Toward+Punch

Helga stands straight and zooms to her opponent in a bullet-like manner, head
first, exposing the horns on her helmet, which hits the opponent.

Uppercut: Down, Forward+Kick

Named the "Armpit of Doom" Uppercut, Helga jumps with an uppercut, exposing
more armpit then fist. Ineffective until at a VERY close range, or if the
opponent's jumping towards you.

Yodel: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Down, Forward+Punch

Also called "Van Holler", Helga belts out a high pitched note that knocks
their opponent backwards.

------
Bonker
------

*Grabs (With one arm and pokes the opponent in the eyes with his fingers)*
*Throws (Over his back with a "Hoo hoo hoo hoo!")*

Aerial Shuffle: Back, Down, Forward+Kick \OR/ Hold Up (1 second), Press Kick

Bonker jumps into the air, kicking his feet wildly, the Back/Down/Forward/Kick
version can hit the opponent, but only in midair. The Hold-Up/Press-Kick type
is used as a double jump to get Bonker to the other side of the opponent.

Butt Dive: Hold Up (1 second), Press Punch

The most useless move in the game. In the original version, it was his air
guard, but they took the guarding part for Tournament Edition. The lack of
making it an attack move makes it the most useless move in the game.

Cartwheel: Hold Back (3+ seconds), Forward+Punch

Bonker does a massive cartwheel into his opponent, it chalks up some good
damage.

Clown Dive: Hold Down (3+ seconds), Up+Punch

The Clown Dive comes down from a jump in a cross body type slam, flattening
his opponent, this move can also be used if an opponent is jumping towards
you.

Cream Spray: Back, Down, Forward+Punch

Bonker makes an audible "Gotcha!" as he sprays his opponent with cream from
out of nowhere.

Flying Pie: Down, Forward+Punch

Bonker throws a pie at the opponent in fireball fashion.

Cruising Pie: Down, Forward+Kick

Bonker squats and throws a pie (ala Sagat's lower fireball move).
