Introduction
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dragon Ball Z Super Butouden 2 is the second in a long line of
Dragonball fighting games, and takes place during the Cell Game and
movies nine and ten. This one, however, is probably the one based on
story the most. Super Butouden 1 was just some info of what happened
in-between the battles, and Super Butouden 3, along with all but one of
the other fighters, is just strictly fighting, with some dialogue
before and after the fights. In Super Butouden 2, you make decisions
that can change what happens next. Some choices let you skip battles,
like when you're Gohan and answer the second choice when talking to
Piccolo the first time, you'll skip the battle with Trunks. And other
choices add more battles, like after defeating Zangya and answering the
second answer (I'm guessing the question is whether or not to kill her
on the spot, and choice two is no) will have you fight her again. And
the outcomes of battles can also affect what happens. I won't tell you
how to skip battles, or what each choice does. You'll just have to play
around with it a bit, like I did. I just tell you techniques and the
weakness of each character when controlled by the computer. Anyway,
without further ado, onto the FAQ!

Characters

Gohan
The son of Goku, and the first to ever go Super Saiyan level 2 in all
of Saiyan history. He did this to defeat Cell during the Cell Game, and
it came in handy throughout the rest of Dragonball, particulary against
Bojack. He is the main character in this game and is, at the time, the
strongest being in the universe. And believe it or not, he's only nine
when this takes place.
Vegeta
Vegeta is the Prince of Saiyans, and believes this not only makes him
the most important, but the strongest to. Unfortuneatly for him, this
is not the case. Vegeta always dreamed of being a Super Saiyan, not
quite knowing the difference in appearance until he saw his rival Goku,
or as he calls him, Kakarott, in this form when fighting Frieza.
Vegeta's dream finally came true when he turned Super Saiyan before
battling Androids 19 and 20.
Trunks
Trunks is Vegeta's son, and is stronger then his father. There are two
versions of Trunks, Mirai Trunks and Chibi Trunks, who is a baby at the
time of the Cell Game. The one you play as is Mirai Trunks, who
traveled back in time to save the future from the androids. He appeared
in the past when a thought to be dead Frieza arrived on Earth with his
father. After swiftly killing them both, he told of the grim future in
store for Earth, which in his time was taken over by the androids he
came back to destroy, numbers 17 and 18. His combination of human and
Saiyan blood makes him stronger then just one or the other. Gohan also
has this combination.
Piccolo
Gohan's mentor Piccolo has appeared in nearly every Dragonball fighting
game, only one that I know of doesn't have him. Even though he can't go
into a powered up form like Saiyans can, he's incredibly powerful, and
is slightly more powerful then Vegeta in Super Saiyan form. He gained
this incredble strengh from the Namek Fusion Technique, where two
Nameks fuse into one forever, usually doubling the stronger one's
strength. Piccolo has fused with two other of his green humanoid race,
a fallen Namek named Nail and his evil father's other half Kami.
Goku
Unplayable in this game without a code, Goku is Gohan's father and the
first to go Super Saiyan in three thousand years. Goku has a pure heart
and a strong bond with his friends, and when Frieza killed his best
friend Krillin, Goku went Super Saiyan and defeated the pirate,
believing him to be dead. After his son defeats Cell, he sacrifices his
life to transport the about to explode android to a far less populated
planet.
Cell
The bad guy of the Cell Game, cell is an incomplete, imperfect android
model that a computer finished. While still imperfect, Cell showed
amazing strength and, using his tail, absorbed androids 17 and 18,
becoming "The Perfect Cell." In this state, he was so powerful that he
couldn't be harmed in the slightest way even by Goku. He destroyed
android 16 ruthlessly, thus making Gohan so angry that he went Super
Saiyan level 2. This caused his downfall as Gohan beat him up 'til #18
was freed and he was, again, imperfect. From there, he blew himself up,
but not before Goku teleported Cell and himslef to King Kai's planet,
killing Cell, Goku, King Kai, Gregory, and Bubbles. He reconstructed
himself in the perfect form from one surviving brain cell, only to be
disentedrated by Gohan.
Cell Jr.
These little guys were created by Cell, and, like there creator, show
amazing strength. Just one managed to knock out Vegeta. They're only
fightable if you lose your first battle with Cell, and are good for
gaining extra health.
Zangya
Bojack's daughter and one of the bad guys in movies nine and ten. I,
however, know little about her or her father, as I have yet to see
those movies.
Bojack
The father of Zangya and the big bad guy of movies nine and ten. Did
you notice that when in the story part of the game he's a blue,
muscular, pirate dressed guy with orange hair who looked like he could
get girls from all over the galaxy, while when you fight him he's a
shirtless green guy with blood red hair and scarily resembles Blanka
from Street Fighter?
Brolly
Brolly was a Saiyan, the original Super Saiyan, at that, who was with
his father, Paragus, when Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza. They
both escaped and survived, though noone knew this. Brolly came and
attacked Earth in movie eleven (I think). He had hated Kakarott (Goku)
ever since he was a baby because he was in a crib next to his. When
Goku was a baby, he was supposedly a big crybaby and was constantly
bawling at the top of his lungs. This annoyed Brolly and he hated him
ever since. In movie eleven, he came to get back at Goku, and surprised
everybody when he went Super Saiyan. I don't think Goku was alive at
the time, but I'm not sure. Either way, he wanted to destroy Earth
because Goku survived only because of the planet. You can only play him
with a secret code and can only fight him if you beat the game on hard
without losing a battle.

Computer Character Weaknesses
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Each character has a weakness when playing one player mode. Here's
where you can learn them so you can exploit them and make each battle
seem like less of a project.
Gohan
This little guy doesn't have much in the way of weaknesses. However,
his arms and legs are quite short, allowing you to attack before he
hits you when doing a jump attack. If using Piccolo or Trunks, your
legs are long enough to hit him with a flying kick or even just going
up to him and kicking without him being able to do anything. This
strategy works even in two player mode, and Bojack and Cell can use
their leg length as an advantage almost as well as Piccolo.
Vegeta
This guy loves his Big Bang Attack. And he uses it a lot. However, his
strategic gaffe in doing this not that he's constantly stunned after
using to much KI energy, but the fact that he tries to use it when he's
close to you, leaving him unable to attack for a few seconds while
charging.
Trunks
This guy attacks very quickly, and is like a lightning bolt. However,
he often falls for ground and sky attacks. In fact, he virtually never
guards or counters them.
Piccolo
This guy is pretty well rounded, and doesn't have much of a weakness.
However, he loves shooting homing blasts. Often you can guide the blast
to hit him instead. You just need to be patient fighting him. Or, as an
alternative, just attack him all out.
Goku
This guy has one really annoying attack. It's where he goes kicking and
spinning across the stage, and if caught, it's really hard to get out,
unless you use a sliding kick in-between his attacks. However, if he
misses, he can't stop 'til he's done. This leaves several seconds to
shoot a super or homing blast.
Cell
This guy may seem like he's a very powerful character with no weakness,
constantly attacking you when you do jump attacks, shooting Super
Blasts at you when your screen is split, and countering or dispelling
your Super Blasts. However, he has two weaknesses that can easily be
exploited. One: He's a sucker for sliding kicks. He rarely does a thing
to defend against them. Two: He loves Blast Duels. However, he sucks at
them. Plain and simple.
Cell Jr.
This guy has no weakness. But then again, he has no strengths either.
So there's really nothing to worry about.
Zangya
Like Cell Jr., she also has no strenghs or weaknesses. But unlike Cell
Jr., she doesn't have pathectically low health and is a decent fighter.
Bojack
This guy is the boss of the game unless you succeeded in reaching
Brolly. He has two whole life bars, so you're probably thinking "Oh my
God! I'm dead meat!" Don't worry. If you're playing as Gohan, you're so
short that many of his KI attacks will go over your head. He does enjoy
shooting homing blasts, but those can be guided back at him.
Brolly
I haven't made it to this guy yet. I'll add him soon.
