Goof Troop, at first glance, seems like another crappy Disney game made just
because of dumb movie. But if you spend time actually playing it, you'll find
that it's a challenging puzzle/action game, which is especially fun for two
players. The game can be difficult at first, which is why we're writing this
enemy/boss guide.

Example:

Name
Description: (What the enemy looks like in the game)
Attack: (What the enemy does to kill you)
Life: (Either 1/2, 1, 2, or special. 1/2 means you can kill the enemy with the
grappling hook or a barrel, 1 means it takes Max 1 barrel to kill, 2 means it
takes 2 barrels for Max to kill, and special means it takes multiple.)
Note: (Additional tips for defeating the enemy.)

**Jolly
Description: Skinny Blue Pirate
Attack: Contact (Contact with Jack takes away one life or all fruit)
Life: 1
Note: This is the first and easiest pirate to kill in the game. Jack walks
slowly, and sometimes in a pattern. In the first level, use the grappling
hook to knock him in the water when you don't want to waste barrels on him.

**Roger
Description: Fat Pirate with Orange Bandana and Stripped Blue/White Shirt
Attack: Contact (Contact with Roger takes away one life or all fruit)
Life: 2
Note: You first run into Roger on the docks in the first level. If you are
playing Max by yourself, knock him into the water with the grappling hook. If
you're Goofy, simply throw barrels at him. When versing multiple Rogers as a
team, make sure Max doesn't waste barrels that Goofy needs to use.

**Jack
Description: Skinny Green Pirate
Attack: Contact, Throws Sword
Life: 2
Note: Jack throws his swords, making them spin in a circle pattern. They
aren't difficult to dodge, because they are slow, but they can be annoying.
At same parts of the game, especially the last level, there is multiple Jacks
that throw swords at you across pits. There are also Jacks like that in
second level.

**Rob
Description: Fat Purple Pirate
Attack: Contact, Kicks Blocks
Life: 2
Note: Rob can be very annoying, as shows in the second level. Try to have one
player lure him behind a block, while the other player kicks before Rob has
the chance. Rob stops for a split second before he kicks a block, letting you
get out of the way in time.

**Jester
Description: Skinny Red Pirate
Attack: Contact, Throws Barrels
Life: 2
Note: Jester is the hardest skinny pirate. If you throw a barrel at him, and
he is making eye contact with him, he will catch it and throw it back. He is
featured in the fourth level the most. Jester apparently doesn't like frogs,
because he will throw barrels at them too.

**Rap
Description: Fat Watermelon-colored Pirate
Attack: Contact, Fat Watermelon Roll
Life: 2
Note: He can be difficult, especially at the end of the second level. Just
run past the first one, wait till he rolls, then use the grappling hook on
the second one. While the second one is paralyzed (You'd think a hook would
do more then that) run to the door.

**Ramble
Description: Fat Red Pirate
Attack: Contact, Fire Breath
Life: 2
Note: The last of the fat pirates breaths a column of fire. He pauses to take
a breath before he spews fire, so get out of the way! Luckily, you don't see
much of him.

Miscellaneous Enemies

**Hedgehog
Description: Tan and Grey Rat Things
Attack: Contact
Life: 1/2
Note: You only see them once, but they move fast for rats. Don't waste
barrels on them, just hook them out. They sort of pause, then dart forward.

**Snake
Description: Green Worm
Attack: Contact
Life: 1/2
Note: You see this critter once in the first level, and multiple times in the
second. Luckily, a quick grappling shot takes him down. He slinks forward,
then lunges when you are in his path.

**Bee
Description: Flying Insect
Attack: Contact
Life: 1
Note: The bee is found in two parts of the game, both in the first level.
He's a lot harder then he looks! It's easy to avoid the sting, but it's
another thing to try to hit him. Just wait until he darts in front of you,
and knock him out.

**Frog
Description: Purple amphibian
Attack: Contact
Life: 1/2
Note: Easiest guy in the game. First encounter is when he leaps out of the
water near the bridge you create. Smash him with the bird egg. He also leaps
out of pools in the second level, and is smashed to death by barrels at the
fourth.

**Bat
Description: Rat with wings
Attack: Contact
Life: 1
Note: Fast flying mammals, similar to the bee, but no stinging. The bats are
pretty easy, just move fast. Only found in the third level, in one room.

**Ghost
Description: White ghost
Attack: Contact
Life: 1
Note: Again, only found in the third level, in one room. Different ghosts
move at different speeds, so try to take the fast ones out. Just a hint, in
the same room the ghosts are in, try throwing something at the gold mirror at
the top.

**Knight
Description: Suite of Amour
Attack: Contact
Life: Special
Note: Wait until the knight moves before you throw anything at it. If you
attack it while it's "frozen", nothing will happen. Once it moves and it's
hit, it will collapse. Throw one more item at it, and it dies.

**Cannon
Description: Cannon
Attack: Shoots cannon balls.
Life:***SPECIAL***
Note: Just catch the cannon balls it shoots out, and throw them back. Or if
there are two cannons, make one shoot the other. Different levels have
cannons that take different amounts of health.

Bosses

The game wouldn't be complete without bosses. And the bosses wouldn't be
complete without poems...

**Jester Hole
Description: A series of holes where Jesters pop and throw stuff at you.
Attack: Throws bombs, barrels, and spiky balls.
Life: Special.
Note: Nick calls them gnome hags. They are pretty easy, just catch what they
throw and chuck it back. Don't catch the spiky balls, and if you hold bombs
too long, they blow up.
Poem:
We will smash you!
We will crush!
We will bash you!
Into mush!

**Fire Bug
Description: A bear/dog thing that throws torches and spits out fire.
Attack: Fire.
Life: Special.
Note: After you use up the four barrels in the stage, Indians come and throw
barrels to you. It's a pretty easy boss. Go towards the corners to avoid
being hit, and move around when he flings torches. When he dances around,
throw the barrels.
Poem:
Avast, it gets hot in
the tropics.
Think fast!

**Red and Blue Skeletons
Description: Red and Blue Skeletons.
Attack: Bones.
Life: Special.
Note: Hardest boss in the game. Focus all your firepower on red first, and
then when he blows up, take out blue. Make sure you watch the blue bones,
because they bounce. After weakening them, they will unscrew their heads and
launch them. Save your bones so you can hit the head at this point.
Poem:
In this castle made
of stones
I will crush you with
my bones!
I will fill your heart
with dread!
I will smash you with
my head!

**Pink and Green Rambler
Description: Pink and Green Caterpillars.
Attack: Contact
Life: Special.
Note: Spikes fall from the ceiling. Almost always the shadow will fall on
you, but it's hard to see. So make sure to move a little to the side. Once
you hit a caterpillar, it will dart to the other side of the screen, and be
temporarily invincible. Make sure you're not in the path. Aim for the heads,
which will poke up right before they charge up. The caterpillars increase in
speed. Aim to take out them out individually, so you don't have to deal with
two charging everywhere.

**Pirate Pete
Description: It's Pete, but he's a pirate!
Attack: Contact... and some other stuff, down in notes. Scroll down. It's all
there. I promise.
Life: Special.
Note: This is the last boss.
His attacks are-
1: He whistles, drawing two pirate followers, who try to attack. Keep one
nailed to the wall with the grappling hook, and wait for the other to be
killed by Pete.
2: Pete jumps up and down, trying to smash you, because he's fat.
3: He shoots a cannon ball at you, which splits up into a couple different
little cannon balls. No problem, right?
4: Pete uses a hook shot (Zelda lawsuit pending?) to grapple you into him,
therefore you make contact with him. Contact is in the list of attacks, so it
hurts you

Oh yeah, Joanna? Try not to get yourself killed.

Enemies are only half of this decent Disney game. I hope our guide isn't
totally worthless to you.
