I. Introduction
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in
Time. You are most likely reading this guide because you would like to find
help on completing the game levels and the bosses. You have come to the right
place!
I decided to write this guide because TMNT IV is one of my favourite games. I
played this game for hours on end when I was a kid and I still love playing it
now. In this guide you will find detailed information on how to complete each
level and you will also find my strategies for defeating each of the games
bosses. If you have found an alternate method of defeating a boss or simply
would like to e-mail me concerning something about this guide or the game,
then feel free to do so. However, please include "TMNT GUIDE" or something to
that effect in the title of your e-mail.
That being said, thank you for reading, and I hope you find the information
that you are looking for.
This FAQ should ONLY be on the following sites:

Updates:
-=-=-=-=-
Version 2.2 - Changed some areas where it still said "Boss FAQ" as this is no
08/12/06 longer a boss FAQ.
- Re-wrote the introduction, because this is no longer an in-depth
boss FAQ, but an actual full guide of every level and boss.
- Removed the legal section from the table of contents, and placed
all legal information at the beginning of the guide, rather than
at the end.
- Changed the Table of Contents once again so that all the rows
are even with one another.
Version 2.1 - Changed update order from oldest to newest, to newest to oldest.
08/10/06 This will make finding the latest update easier.
- Added in a "BURY MY SHELL AT WOUNDED KNEE" section, due to me
not knowing of the reference to the real historic event and
thanks to Seth Strife and Ron Taylor for submitting this info.
- Changed the format of the table of contents, finding each level
is now easier by using the ctrl + f feature to find the levels.
- Changed the sixth level name from "SKILL" to "SKULL".
If you guys find errors as important as this please e-mail me.
Version 2.0 - Updated FAQ from a Boss FAQ to a full guide.
02/12/06 - Fixed a few errors and made a couple small layout changes.
- Renamed *FAQ* Section to Frequently Asked Questions.
- Gave the Frequently Asked Questions section the number II
infront of it, as it previously had no number.
- The Boss section was renamed to "The Walkthough" and is now
number III instead of number II.
- This will most likely be the final version of this guide.
I originally thought that the last version I wrote would be the
last version but I decided to make this a full FAQ. Besides
Spelling mistake corrections do not expect a new version of this
guide besides a 2.1
- Faq submitted to GameFAQs and hopefully accepted.
Version 1.6 - Wow, almost an entire year since an update!
07/01/05 - Removed GameFAQs from allowed sites list, since it was never
posted on their site.
- Fixed some spelling errors
- Removed a "note" at the end of level 4's first boss. I started
this extra "note" almost a year ago and I have no idea what I
was going to write.
- Added a "note" to level 5 boss "Slash"
- Updated "Thanks" section
- Updated "Legal Information" section.
- This will probably be the last update to this FAQ since their is
nothing else left to add/change. I will most likely update it
sometime in the future but most likely not for awhile. However
I will always accept e-mails about this guide, whether it is a
question or a suggestion about my guide, just be sure to add
"TMNT Boss FAQ" in the title so I know what the e-mail is about.
Version 1.5 - Fix some spelling errors
07/15/04 - Changed Slash's HP from "5 Blacks" to "5 Blocks"
- Added some info about Shredder Boss on the Technodrome
level.
- Added Hard Mode strategies for Shredder (Technodrome) and
the Rat King.
- Added a space between the FAQ section and the Boss section
to separate them.
Version 1.0 - FAQ First Created and Completed.

II. Frequently Asked Questions
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Q: How do I do a rising jump kick?
A: Press jump followed by attack really quickly while standing still.
Q: How do I do a slide kick?
A: While running press the jump button, quickly followed by the attack
button.
Q: How do I throw the enemies at Shredder in the Technodrome level?
A: Be leveled with the enemy and press forward while attacking, you also
must be close to them.
Q: How do I do a front flip?
A: While running press the jump button
Q: Why would they put the hardest boss in the 5th level?
A: I honestly have no clue. I personally don't think he was intended to be
harder than Super Shredder, but he just so happened to turn out as the
hardest boss in the end.
Q: Is this really the best TMNT game?
A: It depends on what you think, each person is different, most TMNT fans
think it's the best one.
Q: Why are all the turtles this light green ugly color?
A: Because the color is set on Animation or "Anime" if you will. To change
it to their true colors go to the option menu and change the colors to
"comic".
Q: Why do I hear a chime sometimes during gameplay after I killed an enemy?
A: This is because you just killed 200 enemies and you got another Rest.
Q: What's a "Rest"?
A: It's the number of times you can lose your health bar before you need a
continue.

Level 1 Big Apple, 3AM
Level Difficulty: Easy
BOSS: Baxter
Boss HP: 3 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Easy
Boss Catch Phrase: "Terminate The Turtles"
LEVEL: BIG APPLE, 3AM
At the beginning of the level there are some cones that you can hit into
the foot soldiers that can help cause some damage. At the part where the
giant chain ball starts smashing into the ground be careful, and watch out
because it can move up and down vertically, so be sure to stay on either the
left or right side of it. The chain ball can also hit you out of mid-air so
be careful when jumping. Right after the chain ball there will be a PIZZA
and a small building and an explosive barrel. Grab the pizza and head up to
the barrel. Once the foot soldiers come out of the building hit the barrel
and jump out of the way to instantly kill all enemies on screen.
After this you will see Super Krang who will come from the right side of the
screen. He will slowly walk towards the left side of the screen. As you may
have noticed he shoots laser beams out of his eyes vertically across the level
and if you're caught in the beams you will be electrocuted. Like the chain
ball stay on either the left or right side of his head and you will be
perfectly safe.
After Super Krang has past there will be another chain ball for you to avoid.
Like the first chain ball encounter you will also have to fight enemies at the
same time. Thankfully it only moves vertically so stay on one side of it and
let the enemies come to you. Afterwards you will see a PIZZA on the ground
so pick this up to restore your health. You will fight a few more enemies
and then you will reach the end of the cat-walk. Time to face your first
boss!
BOSS FIGHT: BAXTER
This is the first boss of the game, so don't worry, the game isn't out to
completely destroy you yet. I developed a rountine that works quite well.
Baxter likes to fly to several sides and shoot you, then he will get down
on the ground and walk around a bit and shoot. So when Baxter is in the air
jump up and smack him, then he will fly to the other side, so run over jump
and smack hit. However if you are to slow to get to the other side, make
sure that you walk up and around a bit so you don't get shot by his gun.
When he lands he will walk up and down a bit before shooting. So when he
does this run up and smack the crap out of him, he will be dazed, and then
fly into the air. If you want you can also dash then body check him, or do
a ground slide into him. To do a ground slide press the jump button and then
the attack button right after while dashing. He will start his routine again,
so start yours again. After he takes enough damage he will start shooting
"hands" at you from his gun instead of bullets. When he does this continue
as normal. The only difference is the "hands" do more damage. When he dies,
he will start to glow then he will walk up to the ledge, explode and fly off.
COWABUNGA!!

Level 2 Alley Cat Blues
Level Difficulty: Easy-Medium
BOSS: M. Head/Metal Head
Boss HP: 4 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Boss Catch Phrase: "I'm Gonna Mangle You Green Slimeballs"
LEVEL: ALLEY CAT BLUES
Right at the beginning of the level keep walking until you see a fire hydrant.
Advance slightly until you see the first foot soldier appear. Hit the fire
hydrant from the left side to send the right side of it flying into the enemy
to instantly kill him.
When you get to the area where the Red Ninjas start coming from the balcony
kill the enemies here as fast as you can and move on because the Red Ninjas
will not stop coming until you have panned the camera to the right, and the
only way to do this is to kill all of the enemies.
In the next area a Foot Soldier will pop out of the sewer access and throw
the plate at you. You can either jump over it or hit it back at him, although
jumping over it is easier but if you can hit it back at him it will kill him
instantly. Now that the sewer is exposed there is a big hole. Not to worry
you can safely fall into this hole without taking any damage. You will fall
inside for a few seconds and your turtle will say something and then climb
back out.
In the next area there will be a PIZZA on the ground, get it if you are low
on HP, if not leave it there for the time being. At this spot 3 robot enemies
will pop out of the ground and start shooting lasers at you and zapping you.
These enemies are strong and can drain your HP extremely quickly. Jump around
a lot to avoid their attacks. Try to attack them when they are all bunched
together for maximum effect. If you lost a lot of HP here now would be a good
time to get that PIZZA before moving on.
In the next area you will be fighting Ninja enemies that will jump over the
fence to attack you and come from the sides. After you defeat most of them
2 more robot enemies will come out of the ground. Use similar tactics to
avoid and defeat them.
In the next area there will be a pick-up item on the ground that is the same
shape as the pizza box. Pick up this item to spin around for a few seconds
instantly killing any enemy you touch. You can use this whenever you want,
but make sure you use it get before it goes off screen.
Immediately after there will be another fire hydrant you can hit to instantly
kill any enemies in your way. You will now be in an area with a PIZZA so you
can get it if you are low on HP or save it for the time being. You will
notice that this area is now a dead end, once all your enemies are defeated
your second boss fight with Metal Head will begin.
BOSS FIGHT: METAL HEAD
For some people he can be easy, and for some people he can be a bit harder.
Right after he is done talking jump and kick him, or hit him right away
keep at it a few times, then jump away. This will cause him to jump up to
the top right corner and shoot across the screen, like this:
|----------------|
| <------- MH|
| | |
| o | |
| | |
| V |
| |
|----------------|
MH = Metal Head
o = Sewer Hole
The Arrow pointing down is the direction he is moving
The Arrow going left is the direction he is shooting
You can be anywhere on here, I prefer to be a little bit below the sewer hole
There are 2 easy ways to avoid this.
1. Jump holding up, to jump up and over his shots.
2. fall into the sewer hole.
I prefer to fall into the sewer hole, because after he gets to the lower
right he will jump like this:
|----------------|
| ^ / ^ |
| | / | |
| | o/ | |
| | / | |
| | / | |
| | / MH|
|----------------|
MH = Metal Head
o = Sewer
The Arrow pointing up on the right side is his first jump
The line going through the middle is his second jump
The Arrow pointing up on the left side is his last jump
He jumps up, then diagonaly left to the bottom, then straight up.
If you hide in the hole, by the time he gets to the top right, you can
jump up and while hes jumping diagonaly across you can kick him or hit him.
Then you can start beating him again. Or if he gets to the top left just
jump over there and start beating him. Once he does the shooting across
the screen again start the process over again. When he is about to die he
will walk towards the sewer hole and then explode, you can hide from the
explosion in the sewer if you want to ;)

Level 3 Bonus Level: Sewer Surfin'
Level Difficulty: Easy
BOSS: R. King/Rat King
Boss HP: 3 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Extremely Easy/Easy-Medium***
Boss Catch Phrase: "First The Sewers, Then The World!"
BONUS LEVEL: SEWER SURFIN'
This level is pretty easy for the most part but gets a little difficult
towards the end. For the most part just move around on your surfboard
hitting any Foot Clan soldiers that pass near you. If your playing with
two people the best way is to have 1 person on the top half of the screen
and the other person on the lower half of the screen.
There will also be question mark boxes "?" scattered on the ground that
pass by pretty quick so keep an eye out for them. They have the same effect
as PIZZAS, by restoring your HP and they also give you extra bonus points,
since this IS a bonus level.
Eventually you will run into Pizza Monsters and spikey balls in the water.
The pizza monsters can be tricky, since they pop out from under the water.
Just jump and attack them when they pop out. For the spiked balls in the
water do NOT go over them, you will lose HP and be unable to pick up any
question mark boxes for a few moments as your character will be stunned.
You will also have to dodge a few metal gates that will hurt you if you touch
them, but they are pretty easy to avoid. Now it is time to have your
score tallied and then fight the boss! RAT KING!
BOSS FIGHT: RAT KING
His line makes me laugh for some reason. Anyways, right away you have to go
into the lower right corner to get beside him, and then start pounding away.
He will start shooting missiles so jump to avoid them, then once he starts
unleashing spiked water balls from the middle go into the corner beside him
and beat the crap out of him. Once he starts shooting missiles just keep
jumping and beating him. Once he unleashes the balls again just go back into
the corner and beat him, then he will die, once he is dead he will fall out
of the bottom of the screen exploding.
***Hard Mode: On hard mode he is alot more difficult, and he also has another
attack. He will shoot a laser beam from the center of his vehicle. The best
was to kill him is to go to the lower left corner of the screen while he is
shooting missiles, while you continue to jump over them. Once he starts
letting out his spike balls go to the lower right of the screen and unleash
your fury upon him, then retreat back and jump because he will start to shoot
missiles again, when he starts to let out his spiky water balls go back into
the lower right corner and hit him again, and he should die.

Level 4 Technodrome Let's Kick Shell!
Level Difficulty: Medium
BOSS: Tokka and Rahzar
Boss HP: 3 Each
Boss Difficulty: Medium-Hard
Boss Catch Phrase: "Master Say Have Fun..., Fun..."
LEVEL: TECHNODROME LET'S KICK SHELL!
Right off the bat you will be attacked by 2 robots and 2 foot soldiers.
Dodge the robots accordingly and try and grab one of the foot soldiers
and do the side to side finisher move and hit the robots, since this kills
them instantly.
After fighting your way though several foot soldiers you will be introduced to
the mini-robot enemies. Don't worry, they are much less threatning but can be
kind of irritating. They hop around and try and bit you. Thankfully 1 swing
will dispose of these pests. The problem is that they come out in large
groups, usually four along with a couple foot soldiers, so try to take them
out in groups with one swing.
Now you will run into another new enemy, foot soldiers with blockers. These
guys block all your attacks and can be pretty annoying. The best way to
dispose of them is to do a body check or slide which you can do while running
and pressing the attack button. After these guys you will fight a few more
enemies and then come to the not-so-final showdown, even though your at the
boss you've still got quite a ways to go in the technodrome until you get to
Shredder.
BOSS FIGHT: TOKKA AND RAHZAR
The best way to do this is to get rid of one of them first. The reason why
it is best to kill one first is so they can't do their double move. I find
it easiest to get rid of Tokka first (the turtle one) He is the easiest to
get rid of. Start beating him alot, then jump up a little, sometimes he will
do a body check and he will usually slam into Rahzar, making them both take
damage. Then start hitting him again. Then keep doing the same thing. You
must keep doing this while also avoiding his rays, they will freeze you.
When Tokka dies he will turn into a normal turtle, then dissapear.
Now you can deal with Rahzar.
Rahzar is actually alot easier then people think. Just go up
to him and hit him 1 or 2 times, then jump out of the way, he will counter
attack with his claw when you hit him, so by only hitting him 1 or 2 times
he will just swipe at the air, then do it again. Once he is dead he will
turn into a puppy, if you continue to hit him while he is a puppy you will
hear yelping noises. The turtle makes no sound when you hit him when he
changes back into a normal turtle.
Level 4 Technodrome Let's Kick Shell! Part II: Elevator
Level Difficulty: Easy
BOSS: No Boss
Boss HP: N/A
Boss Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Boss Catch Phrase: N/A
LEVEL: TECHNODROME PART II: ELEVATOR
The elevator has no boss but it can be tricky. Just stay at one side of the
elevator and hit them then hit the guys behind you when the other ones fly
back. When those white robot guys come in you can use your special move if
you want but it takes away HP. The trick to defeating them without a special
move is to jump then kick them, then jump and kick. Just keep jumping to
defeat them without taking any damage
If your playing this level with two people keep one person on the left side
and one person on the right side. That way you can each take care of the
enemies that come from each door, since enemies come from both sides when
the elevator doors open. You cannot leave the elevator until the end, in
which the game will take control of your character and let you leave.
The elevator doesn't have any big threats, just be careful of the robots that
will come out at one point and the blocker foot soldiers. Use the tactics you
have used thus far to defeat them. All other enemies are easily defeated.
Level 4 Technodrome Let's Kick Shell! Part III: Shredder's Floor
Level Difficulty: N/A
BOSS: Shredder
Boss HP: 3 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Medium/Hard***
Boss Catch Phrase: "Tonight I Dine On Turtle Soup"
Shredder seems to be in some sort of tank, it will show him from face forward
then the camera will switch to his view and show the back on his head. He
will try to shoot you, and will try to grab you with a claw. On easy you will
be forced to fight a endless force of purple ninjas, but on normal you will
fight pink ones that throw ninja stars, that make is alot harder. On hard
mode there are those pinks guys with shields. The secret here is to not waste
time just fighting endless enemys, all you have to do is get really close to
a enemy and be level with him and press forward while attacking and you will
throw the enemy at shredder. Do this several times and he will be defeated.
Once he is defeated he will jump into a screen and disappear laughing. Then
the screen will have a big picture of his head. He will say:
"My Patience Is Wearing Thin, I'm Banishing You To A Timewarp, From Which You
Will Never Return!"
The screen fades away and it shows you go through a vortex glowing green and
black.
***On Hard Mode: The hard mode difficulty is a huge difference between normal
mode and easy. There are pink enemies with those blockers that make it
harder to hit them. I found it alot easier to throw them at Shredder if you
dash from side to side body checking them. When you body check one start
attacking him immediatly, and chances are he will get thrown. It worked well
for me.

Level 5 Prehistoric Turtlesaurus B.C. 2500000000
Level Difficulty: Medium-Hard
BOSS: Slash
Boss HP: 5 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Very Hard
Boss Catch Phrase: "Your History Slimeballs"
LEVEL: PREHISTORIC TURTLESAURUS B.C. 2500000000
The main things to watch out for in this level are the flying dinosaurs
that drop bombs on you. When they drop the bomb just jump to the other side
of the screen to easily avoid any damage.
Another big thing to watch out for in this level are stampeding dinosaurs
which will squish you if they run over you. When the screen starts shaking
and you hear footsteps run to the left side of the screen and get ready to
jump out of the way when they appear. (They come from the right side).
Once you get to the cave area watch out for falling rocks from the rooftop.
Also watch out for Blue soldiers with axe weapons. They might attack slow but
their attack is very strong. Luckily for you if they swing and miss their axe
will get stuck in the ground giving you the perfect opportunity to deliver
them justice.
There are also several other new types of enemies to look out for. Mainly
being the big rock enemies that charge at you. When they charge at you you
can either jump out of the way or try and attack them. Attack them when they
are charging is something you will have to learn how to do by practicing. The
best thing to do is just jump out of the way.
There will also be yellow foot soldiers, these foot soldiers come from either
the left or right side of the screen and will throw one bomb, and then leave.
If you want the kill point for them you must attack them quickly before they
can walk off screen. They die in 1 attack no matter what so you can use any
regular attack on them.
There is also a powerup near the end of the cave that you have found in
earlier stages that lets you spin around killing all enemies instantly
including enemies that use blockers.
After the cave there will be a lot more stampeding dinosaurs so be careful.
You will also have to fight more rock soldiers as well. Once you get to the
end you will fight what I think is one of the hardest, if not the hardest boss
in this game. There is also a PIZZA here that you can either take NOW or save
it for during the boss fight.
BOSS FIGHT: SLASH
I personally think this is the hardest boss in the game, he is pretty equal
to Super Shredder in difficulty. Many of my friends also think he is the
hardest, and we also thought this when we were little. The best way to
defeat him is to hit him from behind. If you hit him from the front he
will just block you. You can also right at the beginning get behind him and
hit him right when the fight starts before he can even do anything. I would
recommend this because it does make the fight alot easier. He usually walks
around and will hit you if you get close, when you hit him from the front
he will block you then just counter with his sword. Easy ways of getting
behind him are jumping behind him and also sliding behind him works well to.
When you hit him he will jump away to the other side. This is where you want
to maintain your strategy. When he jumps to the other side jump in the air
and kick him while hes in the air, or run and slide to where he is jumping
to and you can hit him when he lands, or you can body check instead of
sliding. Jump and kick him whenever hes in the air, this is a easy way
to get HP from him. On Medium difficulty he will use a special attack
when he is almost dead, he will turn into a ball and fly into you, this
attack is deadly and unblockable. Just move out of the way after hitting
him. Don't hit him for extended periods of time or he will just use this
move on you. Once he is defeated he will roll around in a ball several times
and then fly into the air blowing up and land into the water beyond the
cliff.
Note: When he is using the spinning shell special move, DO NOT jump into the
air, (towards his location) because he will hit you in the air causing you to
fall down and take major damage.

Level 6 Skull And Crossbones A.D. 1530
Level Difficulty: Medium
BOSS: Rock and Bebop
Boss HP: 4 Blocks Each
Boss Difficulty: Medium-Hard
Boss Catch Phrase: "Your Walking The Plank Shell Brains"
LEVEL: SKULL AND CROSSBONES A.D. 1530
This is perhaps one of my most favourite levels in the game.
Anyways, that's besides the point, your here for the walkthough!
The most important thing to watch out for in this level are the markings on
the ground in the floorboard. You will most likely notice that there are
squares on the ground. DO NOT walk over them unless you want to lose HP.
Another new enemy introduced in this level are the archer foot soldiers.
Similar to the bomb foot soldiers in the Prehistoric level we've already
conquered. Although these enemies are much harder to hit and walk away much
faster. Don't make it a priority to kill them, if you can't kill them just
jump over their shots or move out of the way.
Now the big daddy of all the new enemies. I have no idea if this guy has a
real name or not but he is a real pain in the ass. He is color yellow, much
like our bombing friends from the last level that I've already referred to
in the previous paragraph. This new enemy I will call the "disc thrower".
He throws a teal colored disc that does massive damage and hurts you a lot.
It has a boomerage effect, where as he will throw it at you then it will come
back to him so he can throw it again. Usually after he catches it he will
walk around a little before throwing it again. He also does a close range
attack which is a kick that he will use if you get to close to him without
attacking, giving him the opportunity to attack. Your best bet in defeating
these enemies is attack him non-stop and don't let him have the chance to
attack.
Eventually you will come to a point where you have to fight some rock soldiers
and dodge some cannon shots being shot to you from another pirate ship. These
cannon shots DO hurt the rock soldiers as well as you. On easier difficulty
the other ship will not shoot cannons at your ship.
Oh... what do you know? Right after that little cannon attack our friends from
the previous level have decided to show their faces. Yep, you guessed it
those bomber guys are back to cause more grief in your life... great.
Now here comes the worst part. You have to fight 4 foot soldiers and two of
them are those disc thrower guys. The best way to deal with them is to fight
them each seperately. If you try and fight everyone at the same time your
just going to wind up dead, FAST.
After you dispose of those disc thrower guys you have more old friends to meet
up with. Those rock guys are back, but it looks like their pissed off since
this time they decided to bring machine guns with them. Don't worry fight
them as if they are regular rock soldiers and they will probably never even
have the chance to shoot them. They are easily avoided anyways, since they
have minimal range. Once they're dead it's time for another double boss
fight.
BOSS FIGHT: ROCK AND BEBOP
Rock and Bebop is your second boss fight against 2 guys at the same time.
The thing is they will try to change places during the battle, fighting you
one at a time. But if you can get one of them alone and beat him up, and
defeat him they will both kill each other. This fight is in a way harder
then Tokka and Rahzar, but in a way easier. Focus all of your energy on 1
of them, when they try to switch harrass the hell out of them by attacking
the person thats not fighting, but be careful, the person thats off to the
side may try to push you in then slam you into the wall. This fight CAN be
hard if you don't know what your doing. So just get one of them alone then
fight him. Move away right before they are about to attack. You can also get
them to attack while facing each other, then their weapons get stuck together
and you hit them and they both take damage. After 1 of them is dead they will
duel each other and kill each other. They both fall to the sides and die.

Level 7 Bury My Shell At Wounded Knee A.D. 1885
Level Difficulty: Easy
BOSS: L. Head
Boss HP: 6 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Easy
Boss Catch Phrase: "Oh Goodie, Fresh Turtles For Lunch"
LEVEL: BURY MY SHELL AT WOUNDED KNEE A.D. 1885
This level is extremely easy for a late game level, but there are a few things
to keep an eye out for. For one there is a new enemy which is red that has
a chain weapon that he swings out at you and has longer range than most
enemies.
Right at the beginning of this level there is a barrel you can knock over.
If you follow it for as long as possible you can take out a lot of enemies
right at the beginning of the level.
For some reason this level has a lot of foot soldiers who seem to think it's
smart pretending to be coats hanging on hangers, and then reveil themselves
to you like it's some big shock. Anyways, ignore their stupidity and show
them justice.
Also watch out for the rock soldiers in this level, they are carrier big
metal pieces that they swing violently at you that can really cause some
damage.
You will also have to dodge a lot of barrels in this level so watch out for
those to.
There are also rock soldiers further on that have rocket launchers so be
cautious when fighting these particular ones.
Also when you come across explosive crates wait until there are strong enemies
or lots of them on the screen until you hit it. There is really no need to
descrive this level in great detail, since it's pretty easy and nothing
different from what you've expierenced so far. Once you get to the end you
will be blessed with a pretty easy boss.
BOSS FIGHT: L. HEAD
Same thing for this guy, I don't have any idea what the L stands for in his
name. Most guys I know what they stand for from my old knowlegde of TMNT, but
I have no remembrance of this guy, nor what the L in his name stands for.
This guy is easy for a late game boss, but hes easy because he keeps going
back and forth giving you perfect opportunities to attack him. Right off the
bat start attacking him, once he gets on all fours and looks like hes about
to start running jump out of the way, then go to the side he goes to, then
attack him before he can do anything. He will usually throw lobsters, or
knives at you. And sometimes he will jump around and punch you if you don't
attack him while he's throwing things at you. Just keep doing this while he
goes back and forth and then attack him before he can do anything, then he
will die. When he is about to die he will make a weird face and extend his
arms, then hop around a little then jump off the train and you will hear
explosions.
The main thing to watch out for is sometimes when your attack him he will use
this weird tail spin attack that sends you flying, so watch out for that.

Level 8 Bonus Level 2: Neon Night-Riders A.D. 2020
Level Difficulty: Easy
BOSS: Super Krang/Krang
Boss HP: 4 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Easy
Boss Catch Phrase: "Face The Wrath Of Super Krang!!"
BONUS LEVEL: NEON NIGHT-RIDERS A.D. 2020
This level is pretty easy, like the sewer surfin' level. The only difference
between this level and the sewer surfin' level is that this level you are
surfing on a road on a hover platform, and you are going vertically away from
the screen instead of going horizontally to the right side of the screen.
Attack the foot soldiers that get near you, and watch out for the yellow
bomber guys I've talk about so much since they decide to bless us all with
an appearance in this level as well, unfortunately no this is not the last
level they appear in so you will have to endure their explosive nature for
one more level.
There are also question mark boxes you can get in this level to so be sure
to look out for those. Similar to the spike balls there are electrocution
balls that have a similar effect, except they electrocute you instead.
Also, similar to the pizza monsters are the helicopter guys. There are foot
soldiers who think they are really badass by riding in this one-man mini-
choppers that have mini-guns attached to them. Jump and attack them in 1 hit
to get rid of them.
BOSS FIGHT: SUPER KRANG
Hey... remember this guy from earlier? He was that huge guy shooting eye
lasers at you in the first level! Well now its time for some long overdue
payback.
This guy is a piece of cake. The only thing you need to worry about is when
he spits out all those explosive balls that fall on you. He will shoot
missiles, which are incredibly easy to avoid, and he will extend his foot
(making it really obvious hes going to attack) Then fly straight and kick
whatever is in his path. Thats the reason hes easy, all his attacks go
straight. Except the bomb one.
Just go up to him and attack him, and then jump to avoid his attacks
and kick him. Stay out of the way when hes kick or shooting missiles.
When he uses his bomb attack just move around avoiding them, then attack him
again when he comes back. He's pretty easy. When he is about to die he will
fly up to the top and the robot body will explode but Krang (the brain) will
pop out and say:
"You're Going To Pay" (For some reason I laugh when I see this)
He will then fly away.

Level 9 Star Base Where No Turtle Has Gone Before A.D. 2100
Level Difficulty: Hard
BOSS: Space Ship Krang/Krang
Boss HP: 4 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Hard
Boss Catch Phrase: "You Shell Heads Are Dead"
LEVEL: STAR BASE WHERE NO TURTLE HAS GONE BEFORE A.D. 2100
This level is home of the new robot enemy that only appears once in the entire
game and dies in 1 hit. You know sometimes I seriously question why the
developers even bothered to put this thing in the game.
This level is also home to the new mini-robot enemies that look like little
discs with feet that electrocute you and are extremely annoying. Deal with
these guys quickly.
Ohhh look! Another one of our beloved friends has returned. Remember those
annoying disc throwing guys from the boat level? Well they're back here.
You will meet two early on so dispose of them quickly.
After fighting through droves on foot soldiers you will encounter a weird
floor that has a whole bunch of hexes linked together and parts of the floor
glow blue. Stay off the blue parts, unless you want to be frozen and lose HP.
After the weird floor there will be a big dark green ball that you will need
to hit to get rid of it. If you don't it will bounce all over the place and
squish you. Also make sure you don't get caught in it bounching vertically up
and down the level, because that just happened to me a minute ago while I was
playing though this level and I lost a lot of HP, so watch out for that.
After you hit this ball away you will soon encounter another one. Send this
one back to where it came from as well. Now you will also have to fight some
rock soldiers with guns, you know the drill.
Soon afterwards you will get some rock soldiers popping out of the sides of
the levels with flame throwers shooting fire onto the ground and then running
away. Sometimes if you attack them they will stay so, if you don't want to
fight extra rock soldiers than don't attack them and just avoid the fire and
move on. Right after this, in the same area some more rock soldiers will come
out with electric guns that electricute you if shot, dispose of these guys
as well.
Now you will see a trap similar to one in the first level. There will be
electric shots shooting vertically across the level that will electrocute you
if you touch them. So either jump over them or run through them when they
aren't on. Oh and our other friends decided to join us again, those bombers
are back. Teach them one final lesson and kick their asses goodbye.
Once you have killed the last of the bombers, you will just need to fight a
couple more rock soldiers. Once they're dead get ready for the second last
boss, and you can now finally finish off Krang for good.
BOSS FIGHT: SPACE SHIP KRANG
You know it's funny that in 1992, when this game was made people actually
thought by the year 2100 A.D. we would have a Star Base somewhere. Honestly
I highly Doubt we will have something like this in 2100, but hey you never
know, but I still think it might take a little longer, although it's not like
I'll be around to find out, disappointingly.
You have to fight Krang again, but this time he is in a space ship, and there
is a screen with shredders face on it watching you fight, evertime you get
hurt he laughs at you. (I know, I know, don't worry he gets what is coming to
him very, very, soon). Anyways... This fight CAN be easy, but it can actually
be very hard, especially towards the end. Krang will start out with just
shooting you with his air bubbles, which will but you in a blue bubble for
several seconds, afterwards he starts to laugh and so does Shredder, but you
can get alot of hits on him while hes laughing. Afterwards he will start
slamming the ground with his space ship, but this is no threat because its
easy to avoid. He will start dropping enemys that will electrocute you that
takes away alot of HP, and when he has 1 block left he will drop enemys and
LEAVE!!! He will come back to replaced destoyed ones VERY briefly causing
it to be VERY difficult to hit him. But when you do hit him hit him as much
as you can, sometimes he will beam in and attack. That is the main reason
why it is hard, because he dissapears and lets you fight his enemys which die
easily but take away alot of your HP if they hit you. Otherwise its not to
difficult. When you win his spaceship will blow up, and the screen with
shredders face will turn into a empty space hole and the turtles will say:
"That Hole's Our Way Home Let's Go!

Level 10 Technodrome The Final Shell-Shock A.D. 1992
Level Difficulty: N/A
BOSS: Super Shredder
Boss HP: 8 Blocks
Boss Difficulty: Hard
Boss Catch Phrase: "Turtle Soup - My Favorite"
BOSS FIGHT: SUPER SHREDDER - TECHNODROME THE FINAL SHELL-SHOCK A.D. 1992
Shredder has 3 moves, a blue wave that looks like arrows that he shoots
upwards, a red fire blaze he shoots across the ground, and a green ball
that turns you into a baby turtle. The blue one freezes you like Tokka's
attack, and the red one burns your feet and makes the turtles go "My Toe!"
"My Toe!" and jump up and down. When you fight him wait for him to finish
using a attack, then run in and hit him from behind. The fight is pretty
straightforward, just avoid his projectiles, and don't touch him when he
has flames around him. When he dies he walks up to the ledge and falls over
and makes a scream of agony. When the game is over you will get a lecture
from Splinter and then you will see a laughing picture of Shredder.
COWABUNGA!!! You just beat the game!!!

IV. "BURY MY SHELL AT WOUNDED KNEE" INFO.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The following was originally at the beginning of my section of the 7th level:
"No, please, seriously, don't even ask. I have no idea what the hell the title
of this level is supposed to mean. Anyways on with the level."

I'm not sure if you meant you don't understand the title at all, or simply
don't understand its relevance to the level, but Wounded Knee was the site of
the last real battle (massacre) against the Native Americans. Bury My Heart at
Wounded Knee is a historical account of that battle and others, and the title
is just a play on words. I assume it's due to the old west theme of the level
but I don't really know. There don't seem to be any Native Americans present.
Oh well.

Hey,
I just dusted off my copy of TMNT IV and started playing it again. I thought
I'd look around and see if anyone had any ideas to keep Slash from kicking my
butt on Hard level. I agree with you he's the hardest boss!
Anyhow, you had in the FAQ that you didn't know what "L. HEAD" stands for. The
boss's full name is Leatherhead; I don't actually remember him from the Image
comics but he was in the animated series. Here's a short link that I happened
to found while browsing around: http://www.ninjaturtles.com/html/profil15.htm
I'd also suspect that "Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee" is a reference to the
Wounded Knee Massacre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wounded_Knee_Massacre) and
the book titled "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"
It was also a line in a 19th century poem (though the wikipedia article
explains that).
I hope that helps answer two of the "outstanding questions" you still list in
your FAQ.
