Fishing sea chests?

I,m trying to fish the chests in the fishing spots,but I drop the bait on the box,I drag the box,until the rod can no longer hold it,the box drops in the water,when throwing the bait on it,it doesn,t catch it,please help.

Sorry,but the problem isn,t in the bait,as i said at almost the top of the water the chest doesn,t come up any more and I keep pulling it but the bait gets cut after a few pulls.

Um...sorry I ment in the last information rod NOT bait.

I'm 99% certain you must have the charm rod to get those treasure chests. I tried so many times with the deluxe pole, but to no avail it broke everytime. Also use urchin bait because it drops the fastest. All bait does work.

NOTE: this is a general note to fishing. If you have something on the line and it breaks off, that same item won't go after your line again for about 10-15seconds. So if you immediately tried to catch the treasure box again u might have tried too soon. just drag the bait and hop it up and down on the box to get it.

You have to have a stronger rod.
