Unfortunately, there isn't. While other swords have increased damage, they are all the same length as your starting sword. Here are a couple of tips to help with the problem:
1. Never attack an enemy head-on. When facing up, stand so that Nasir is off-center to the left (and adjust accordingly with direction). This allows for consecutive strikes that mitigate the short sword length a little. This tip is critical during boss fights.
2. Take advantage of magic to attack from afar. The regular Fireball and, later, the Wind Cutter spells are excellent for this. These will make a good substitute for the sword when foes move quickly or attack with ranged projectiles.
