I could just walk in and defeat the boss before exploring the whole place, but I don't know if there's anything I'll miss out on permanently.

statusYou won't miss out on anything if you beat the boss first, but theres really nothing worth getting in the tower except for the Red Mail. You can re-enter ALL of the dungeons repeatedly.
