Unfortunately, one of the four Reserve Tanks etai79 described is actually a Super Missile.
The reserve tank is in the Wrecked Ship. Make your way to a Chozo statue that walks across spikes and down the hidden staircase. The door on your left will lead to the Gravity Suit. Where the Chozo statue drops you, lay a bomb. You'll break a hole in the floor. Go through the hole and lay a Power Bomb when you reach the end of the tunnel. Jump up and go through the morph ball tunnel on your right. Push the robots into the holes and then lay a Power Bomb next to the Chozo statue that holds a missile.
Back up a little and run to your right. Charge a super jump before you hit the wall on the far right side, super jump up through the narrow pathway. Move a little to your left and you'll fall through. There is a gap in-between you and the reserve tank that will drop you back down to the treadmill you ran across earlier. Jump over the gap and retrieve your tank.

-> The first Reserve Tank you can obtain is in Brinstar near the Westernmost Brinstar - Crateria elevator. After coming down the elevator, take the first bubble door on your right, use the SPEED BOOSTER to run under the gates, and claim the reserve tank in the next room.
-> The second Reserve Tank is in the old Tourian escape shaft in Crateria (the one you come back up after obtaining the Morph Ball). Near the bottom of the shaft is a blue platform directly adjacent to the right wall. Plant a BOMB on this platform, head right, use a POWER BOMB to open the door. In the next room you have to freeze four enemies to perform a SPEED BOOSTER SHINE SPARK upwards to retrieve the tank.
-> The third Reserve Tank is in Norfair, in one of the larger bubble rooms in the North East corner (this particular one is connected to the room that is connected to the large passageway at the end of which you retrieve the Speed Booster). At the top of the room is a strip of GRAPPLING BEAM BLOCKS and a Cacatac. Swing left across the blocks into the upper right door. There's a hidden piston in the floor that can be raised by shooting the WAVE BEAM at the floor near the left wall. After the piston is raised, plant a BOMB on top of it and head left into the next room, at the end of which is the Reserve Tank.
-> The fourth Reserve Tank is in Maridia and can be reached from the large, central room with many gray snails and Grappling Beam Blocks (on your map you'll see two dots in the upper right corner of this room). At the bottom right corner of this room, you can use your beam to open a hole in the floor. After doing so, run left underneath the floor past the first sand pit and allow yourself to sink down through the second sand pit. The reserve tank is in this room but you'll need to use the SPRING BALL to jump over the crumbling block to retrieve it.
