"Jim Pwoer in the Lost Dimension in 3-D, and insanely long title for an insanely hard game"

Ahh yes... Jim Power in the Lost Dimension in 3-D... the only game where you NEED cheats to beat it on easy. When you first start playing you think it is the stereotype side scrolling walk-and-jump shooter... until you get 1/2 way through the first stage and lose all your lives and have to start back at the very beginning. I hate using cheats in video games, but man, oh, man would this game be impossible without cheats. This game is a true challenge for any gamer.

Difficulty 10/10
Whoever made this game needs a difficulty below easy... and below that... and below that. Aside from the 1 hit-and-you-die aspect, the game only gives a few lives to work with. When you die, you have to go back to an invisible continue point. Great, right. No. If you lose all your lives, you have to use a continue and start back at the very beginning of the stage. Then you consider the stages take FOREVER, you have a time limit, and the enemies pop up out of nowhere breaking the sound barrier, and the bosses, mini-bosses, and enemies worked into the stage so you can't kill them, not to mention anything that moves kills you, and some of the stuff that doesn't move, you have one challenging game.

Plot 5/10
This game only has a plot if you read the instruction booklet, and you beat it.
The game makers have the worst ending ever, no cut-scene or cinema-tics, and nothing good. I won't reveal any spoilers, even though the ending is obvious.

Game play 8/10
If you don't complain about the difficulty, the game play is pretty basic. The best aspect of the game is the viewpoint changes every level. levels 1,4, and 7 are side view, levels 2 and 5 are top view mazes, and levels 3 and 6 are side scrolling spaceship shooting levels. The smart bombs and keys are also important parts of this game. 7 levels and this game still takes an hour with cheats.

Everything Else 6/10
With the games 16-bit graphics messed up by the 3-D programming with the 3-D glasses I've never seen, the insanely fast and intelligent AI, and the Weapon upgrading idea, this game is a masterpiece of it's own kind...

Overall 7/10
If you are looking for a good game with brain-damaged enemies and state-of-the-art graphics, go get another game. If you want an insane challenge because you've beaten every shooting game on the face of the earth, grab for this one, and good luck. You'll need it.
