Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble
Review by RockyStarPro
"The Best Monkeys So Far"
Welcome to my Donkey Kong country 3 review for the Super Nintendo. This game is about Dixie and her fellow friend Kiddy trying to rescue Diddy Kong who was captured by the evil King K. Rool. This game is like Donkey Kong 2 because this game Diddy gets captured but in the last game Donkey Kong gets captured. You must adventure in many worlds until you are up to K. Rool and when you get up to the last part of the game stuff start getting harder and it requires more skill than other levels in this game. Also when you are adventuring you also do side quests which require buying things and giving them to certain people and they either give you a Bird or they give you another item then you give them to the person who wants them for a Bird. When you beat worlds you have to collect these items for Funky Kong to upgrade your ship which allows you to go in more places around the islands. So once you are already confident in your self to try the last worlds then go for it. Also there is a secret island in this game and you open it by going around in circles at these rocks on the 2nd part of the island then a volcano appears named Kremetoa and that has the hardest levels in the game.
The graphics in this game are not bad because they can be kiddy but sometimes they can be awesome and fit the level you are in. The graphics or the monkeys who are Dixie and Kiddy are superb because they are not blurry and they are just right too see and the color amount for them are perfect. The graphics for the enemies are good because they stand out and are not blurry which makes them easier to see. The bad thing for the graphics is that it can be too kiddy for the characters because they are too cartoon-ish and do not have realism in them.
The game play for this game is excellent because it has very hard and challenging levels that will keep you hooked on until you beat them. You start off easy and as you progress through the game it will get harder and harder as you beat levels. There is also a secret world in this game and that is called Kremetoa. That is meant to be another way to beat K. Rool but instead you get a DK Coin as in the other K. Rool you clock the game. In worlds such as K3 the levels are harder and enemies can annoy you while you are doing the levels. Levels are no where near easy once you are in the last part of the game so you have to practice to get more skilled and then attempt the last worlds and levels. So at the end for Game play it is the best part of the game and has one of the best challenges on any Super Nintendo games.
The Audio for this game is not good because it is boring and has no rhythm in it. The good part of the audio is the characters voice for example the enemies and Dixie and Kiddy. They are good because the sound they make fits for what happened for example when Kiddy cries and that sort of cry fits his name. So at the end for the audio it is good and bad sometimes because they are too kiddy but the good thing of them are the noise the characters make like Dixie and the enemies.
Rent or Buy:
I definitely recommend you to buy this game because it has the best difficulty and the best graphics but the bad thing for this game is it has bad music. So the final decision is to buy.
Overall Donkey Kong Country 3 for the Super Nintendo is a good game and must be obtained in any way possible especially with its challenges and the hard levels it brings. The graphics are cool because they have the best amount of color and one of the best in the Super Nintendo. The best part of the graphics is it has the clearest picture on the SNES and barely has blurry parts. The game play is superb in this game because it takes at least 2 days to clock this game if you're new to it but it has and will always be a challenging and fun game to me. The audio for this game is good because when you hit an enemy hits you the Kong's make a scream noise and when Kiddy cries the cry fits his name. So at the end Donkey Kong Country 3 is a game that has the best challenges than mostly other game for the SNES and will keep you entertained for a long period of time.
