"What A Birthday Gift This was!!!!"

I remember when I was younger, it was my birthday. I had the ultra cool super Nintendo, and I went to open a present in the shape of a SNES game box. When I got it, I found out it was a wrestling game, and immediately went to play it!

For this timeframe, you would expect to get lots and lots of neat and awesome wrestlers, but that's not the case in this game, as you only get 10. They are: The Undertaker, Hawk, Animal, Sid Justice, Ted Dibiase, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Earthquake, Typhoon, and Jake Roberts. Yeah, those guys are all cool, but I would've liked to have some more cool wrestlers in addition to them.

One thing that intrigued me was the music when you're selectign the characters. Each one, when you stop on them, plays that characters theme song. It is a small thing, but I always liked being able to listen to a wrestler's song.

The gameplay is alright for its time. First off, there a three game modes: One-on-One, Tag Team, and Survivor Series. Each one you may go against the computer or a friend, which is nice. One-on-One is the normal singles match you'd see on TV, Tag Team is the normal Tag Team Match you'd see on TV, and Survivor Series is a 4 on 4 Tag Team match in which you must eliminate all of your opponents wrestlers to win.

The controls to this game are very basic, but basic was good for back in the day. There isn't any storymode like nowadays, but this game is still fun to screw around on, wehther it'd be against the computer or your borther, sister, cat, parents, friends, whatever.

This game isn't one to buy to entertain yourself for hours, by yourself, this could actually be more of a party game(back then, anyway.) Nowadays if you wanted to have fu npartying to this game, you'd most likely have to get drunk.

Overall, I'd give this game a 7 for back then; and a 1 for nowadays. It was very entertaining when I was a kid and had nothing better to do, but with all the well detailed games of now, I wouldn't suggest buying it looking to have hours of fun, maybe 5 minutes of it.
