"Don't even touch this wheel."
The Jeopardy game I have for the SNES was pretty good. I was thinking Wheel of Fortune for the SNES would be a neat one to try. I played it and I couldn't believe I wasted my time on this piece of crap. If you want a good game to play on the SNES, find something else then this crap cartridge.
GRAPHICS 5/10
The graphics were okay. The digitalized set of the show actually looked kind of neat. But it's the characters that look awful. Vanna White doesn't look that good and the sprites for the characters you choose aren't that impressive at all.
CONTROLS 3/10
One thing that hurts the game bad is the controls. It was very confusing for me. I try to make a one player game and somehow, I end up competing with 2 characters.
MUSIC & SOUND 3/10
Oh, man, oh, man, whoever thought that this passes for SNES music, they should be condemned. The opening theme song was really bad. It sounds like depressing elevator music. In fact, the first time I heard it, it was actually the beginning of the hell to play this game. The sounds aren't too special either. I think the spinning of the wheel was bad and the wheel itself probally could use some WD-40.
GAMEPLAY 1/10
The gameplay was so awful, it doesn't even deserved to be reviewed, but unfortunately, it has to be done. The computer is just idiotic. Like say, for example, the phrase was, "J_hn Lennon", the computer would guess the letter "x". THE LETTER "X"!!!!!!!!!!!! I can share with you a fun fact about this game. The original title of this game was, "Wheel of Fortune: The Dee Dee Dee Edition!" It's praticulalry what it is. Nice going, GameTek, nice going. I'm surprised you didn't lose the license after making this piece of crap. They thought adding Vanna White might make this a good game, but nope. And another thing. They have Vanna, but where's Pat Sajak? He probably thought this game was so bad, he didn't want to take part of it, and if that's the case, Pat, I salute you.
This Wheel of Fortune game is the worst ever. Don't buy this game. Hell, don't even shop at the same game place that sells it. It just might taint it. I might even say the game might make make a good doorstop, but with this game, it might give the house termites. Merv Griffin is probably rolling in his grave over this monstrosity.
