"Worst video game EVER."
This is my first review for any game. My rating system may seem weird at first, but this is how I choose to rate games. Now let's get down to business.
Bebe's Kids is DEFINITELY the worst snes game ever made, quite possibly the worst video game ever made. Here's a few reasons why:
Almost any game based on a movie (and a horrible one, at that) will suck. Also, sluggish play control, horrible hit detection and BORING BORING BORING with ZERO replay value will give you a horrible game.
Graphics - 5/10 - Probably the game's strongest point, but they still suck. It's not that the sprites are badly done, it's just that the animations are slow and lack detail.
Sound - 3/10 - HORRIBLE music will drive you completely up the wall. The only reason it got a 3 is for the spoken effects, which aren't even that good.
Innovation - 0/10 - We've seen the ''movie brawler'' type game one too many times already. There's absolutely nothing new here except for extremely sluggish play control -- which I will explain next.
Play Control - 0/10 - Too bad you can't give negative scores. One word describes this game's play control - SLUGGISH. You can barely even move your character around. All you can do is attack and jump (with the occasional ''special attack''). Sound familiar?
Addictiveness - 0/10 - You'll be crazy if you'll want to play for more than a minute. Here's why: when you start off, there is a guy in a mouse costume and a guard bugging you and trying to hurt you. It takes about five minutes to kill each enemy, until you figure out how to do special moves. By the time you do, guess what you get? A cloned set of those exact characters! I kept playing nonetheless, and I somehow managed to work through to the 4th level (the infamous ''haunted house stage''). When I found out I would just never be able to beat it, I just stopped playing.
Replay Value - 0/10 - I don't think there is a single human being in the entire universe who has played it through even once, so why play it again?
F^T's pro tips: If you don't learn special moves, you'll never win. Here's how to do them (if you lost the manual).
uppercut: hold L and R and press punch or kick
spinning jump-kick: while in the air, hold L and R and press punch or kick (or maybe jump, I think).
There might be more, just experiment holding L and R and pressing different buttons.
Buy or Rent?
Unless you REALLY want to see how bad it is, don't even touch this game.
F^T's final thought: This is the worst video game ever made. I don't know what Nintendo was on when they gave it their seal of quality.
