Cool Spot

"Might I say, this is a cool game."

Cool Spot was a cool game. It was released back in 1993 on the Super Nintendo, the Sega Genesis, and the Game Boy. I do believe that there was an NES release. Anyway, it's another on of those zany games. It stars the mascot from the 7up bottle! Weird, isn't it. It's a pretty fun game to play.

Graphics

The graphics are pretty good. They looked advanced back in 1993. The majority of the setting takes place on the beach. Spot is a red dot thing that wears sunglasses. The water looks clear. The crabs look cool, as does spot.

Story

The stories of video games weren't all that great back in the day, but it doesn't matter. I don't really remember the story from the game, but I think it had to do with Spot rescuing his friends from cages or something.

Music/Sound Effects

The music sounded nice and catchy. It definitely fitted the setting for the game. From surfing on the beaches to being trapped in a 7up bottle, the music fitted the scene and had you humming along.

Gameplay

And now we get to the most important part of the game- the gameplay. This game earned it's 9/10 from me the same way other games that I review earn their score- by the gameplay. I usually give games their scores based on how fun the game is and based on the score that I gave to the gameplay. Well, I gave the gameplay a 9/10, so I'm giving the game a 9/10. It's a very fun game to play. Using and controlling Spot was fun, and just going from level to level was a joy.

Replay Value

I replay this game every now and then. Many people probably do. I insert the cartridge in my Super Nintendo whenever I'm bored and I'm in the mood to play it, and for good reason of course. You will too.

This game was very fun to play for months. It's definitely worth your time if you own a Super Nintendo, a Sega Genesis, or a Game Boy. Trust me.
