The Lost Vikings
Review by Omnislasher
"A great strategy-type game that's loads of fun"
This game is awesome! Are you looking for a challenging and fun strategy game? Maybe something a bit different than the usual? This is the game! It is fun and challenging, great for puzzle or strategy fans. Let me give you the gist of it. You have to help three Vikings that are lost get back to their homeland and time, and go through dozens of different levels. To get through the levels however, you must utilise each of the characters' different abilities. For example, Eric the Red is able to run and jump, Baleog the Fierce can attack with a sword or bow, and Olaf the Stout can defend with his shield or hold it above his head to glide through the air. So if you run into a bad guy, send Olaf first to block everyone, then Baleog in behind Olaf to kill it. It may sound simple, but believe me this game is not easy!
Gameplay: 9/10
This game is fun, challenging and will really make you think. You feel great when you beat a level, like you really accomplished something. There has to be about 50 levels and about 6 or 7 different worlds (don't quote me because I don't know for sure).
Graphics: 8/10
Nothing special, but the colors and characters look good. It gets the job done just fine.
Music and Sound: 7/10
Some good tunes, though they may get a bit repetitive. The SFX are nice.
Play Control: 9/10
May take a little while to get used to, but the controls are overall pretty simple to use.
Replay Value: 8/10
No extra items or secrets to go back and get, but there are many levels to beat, so this game should last a long time. It's also fun to play with your friends!
Overall: This game deserves a 9! It is great, I definitely recommend buying it, but maybe rent it first to make sure it's for you.
