"Mario Taint"

As a huge fan of Super Mario and even though I was more of a fan when I was a little kid, this game still disappointed me regardless of having the fondest memories making stamps with my brothers, this game isn't so great when you actually take the time to play it.

Story: N/A
It's painting and drawing....

Music: 9/10
The music is good in fact, it's the only reason to play this game. The only problem I have is the title music; it's sounds as if someone is chewing on pop-tarts. The falling star song sounds more like a day dream in a Black and White movie than a slowed down twinkle, twinkle Little Star remix but it's good nonetheless. The Push-ups song that you start out painting with reminds me of the overnight song while the second one sounds more like a department store then a Mario game. As for sounds... well this is where the audio loses a point as well as the title music. The game is riddled with obnoxious sounds first it's the painting tools that sound like an electric razor. Then it's the instruments you are expected to work into your musical scores but I guess it all depends on your ability to create music.

Graphics: 2/10
Your creations are basically the graphics but since you are highly limited in what you can create. The graphics for this game are truly no where near cutting edge for a Super Nintendo game.

Controls:1/10
The mouse is complete crap! You have to push really hard and just maybe the buttons will work. Why wouldn't they at least let you use a controller if you really wanted to? The game could have been a lot better at, least creation wise if you were allowed to use a controller instead of the unresponsive mouse that it came with.

Replay value:5/10
Mario Paint can be fun at times but it won't have you coming back for much except the fly-swatting mini-game and the music.

Game-play: 4/10
There is no game-play since drawing and making really bad creations is all you do.you need loads of patience to make something even remotely worth all of the time you have put into it. Limited colours with a bad selection is all you get to make your splendour work. You are only able to save one save file containing all of your stamps, animations and musical compositions... how could will this work with a family of four? It takes an incredible amount of time to save what your work.

Overall: 3/10
MS paint is better than this bad game that Nintendo tried to market. Maybe if Nintendo gave you more colours and better sound samples and more sizes to work with, the game would be a whole ton better.

Rent/Buy:
If you like MS paint more, don't buy it. If you like games where drawing is your knack then make the purchase.
