"Why does every pop culture hit have to be a game?"

Intro
Please answer that question for me. I still don't understand it much myself. Some people say that it's the company's way of milking a hit. Well, considering that most of these kind of games get bad reviews and poor sales, I'd say it's probably NOT a good way to milk a show. Let's just thank whatever existent marketing forces that be that we didn't see an MST3K game. Not that I don't like MST3K, just that that would make a terrible concept for a game.

''Huh huh huh...''-Butthead
In Beavis and Butthead, you play as, of course, Beavis and Butthead. As they are watching TV they catch an add that one of their favorite bands (Gwar) is heading into town. Since Beavis and Butthead would never be able to afford a concert such as that because they usually blow all their money anyway, they decide to go around town and take pictures of themselves doing cool things to ''prove'' to the bodyguards that they are cool enough to enter the concert for free. Sound like crap? That's because it is.

Highs and Lows
The game has it's highs and lows. All together, I really don't enjoy the game mainly because it's pretty unoriginal. It seems to be a basic side-scrolling action game where you play as Beavis and Butthead trying to do something cool to take a picture of, which doesn't happen until you've completed a level. At the end of each level is a boss (surprise, surprise!), one you might've seen on the show before (like Mr. Anderson).

Levels
The fact is, there are six preliminary levels which you can select and one final level which you get to see Gwar and battle the final boss. Not much of a game, nothing new or original.

It's Raining... Food?
One thing I found strange about this game was that throughout each level, different foods will rain down. At that moment, you must push up so that they will open their mouths and eat the food to gain some health back.

Game Elements
The graphics and sounds are decent, especially since Gwar is supplying the music. The controls are easy enough. The game poses a decent enough challenge. I think the main problem is that this game is just run-of-the-mill. Nothing new or exciting about this game. Honestly, if you want a fairly decent B&B game, the one on GameBoy isn't too bad. A little better than this, anyway.

FINAL JUDGMENT
Graphics: Nice 16-bit graphics and beautiful colors (thought you'd never hear the world ''beautiful'' in reference to Beavis and Butthead, didn't you?) 8/10
Sounds: Good music and sound effects 10/10
Control: Not bad 7/10
Plot/Storyline: Just sounds so stupid. Not the fun stupid that was on the show, but just general stupid. 4/10
Gameplay: A good challenge, but nothing more than that. It can be fun for a little while but gets old pretty fast 6/10
All Together: 5/10

Recommendations
Not for everyone. Find some way to try it out before buying this one unless you're a die hard B&B fan.
