Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Another Story
Review by RPGamerGal
"Difficult yet addictive...TRY IT!"
This is without a doubt, a must have for sailor moon fans. It is very very difficult, building levels is so important...and the bosses are quite hard...It is however, so addictive that you won't leave until you beat a boss if you're in the middle or at least play for a very long time.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are fun, and quite good for the snes. It's like the show but on a game so I liked that. The characters also looked quite good and they actually looked close to the real thing. The monsters and bosses weren't spectacular but overal it's a treat for your eyes if you enjoy anime and sailor moon.
Gameplay/Plot: 8/10
The gameplay is much like any other regular rpg, not much difference. It's heroes beating the bad guys, the plot is interesting and it semi-fuels you for battles so that you're still interested even if this is a VERY long game. There's a lot of characters though, so that's fun to choose them. Yet none is fully developed in their own personality and such. The *spells* of each sailor are semi-equivalent to that of the real show. What I didn't like was how each sailor only had only a limited amount stars (blocks?) of *magic* power. It got tedious refilling each of them up everytime you ran out against a hard boss.
Music: 7/10
The music wasn't too good, it wasn't too bad. It was in the middle, it didn't annoy you, and it was above average. Yet it didn't seem too memorable.
Replay Value: 5/10
This game is VERY VERY long and hard so if you don't have much patience for walking around and levelling up and you're not a sailor moon fan then this is NOT for you. It might be a bother to replay it after you've just beaten it, but it might be worth replaying once after a while when you have nothing to do. :-) Just kidding, it is long and hard yet you'll enjoy it no matter how frustrated you get in levelling. Sometimes going through many of the same type of looking dungeons can get a bit tedious, but other ideas they implement into the game are refreshing. In short, this rpg is not an epic or classic, but it's worth playing simply because it's fun! However, I give a word of warning, if you don't level up well enough, some bosses can take up to at least an hour in defeating.
