"Dont Drink the Worm"

Whats happens when you take good graphics, control and a fly cow? Earthworm Jim, that's what. I admit when I first saw this game I thought ''how stupid'' but it turns out stupidity is one of the best features of this game. A long long time ago (1994?) a crow was trying to eat this worm and well this giant suit falls out of the sky Super-sizing our worm friend ''Jim''. Many people want to get the suit back or just beat Jim around senselessly for a while. And you get to play as the slimy one.

There are some pretty ''different'' levels and attacks. Like the Worm whip or the crazy blaster gun. The Bunge jumping level is a kick (literally) and ''What the Heck'' level will answer the question where do snow men go when they melt? New Junk City is the ''training course of the game'' and you had better get the worm whip down cause it only gets harder from here. I think the hardest level of the game is ''Down the Tubes'' where you have to race your Fishbowl to the other side of the ocean. Its such a pain but I keep coming back for more. Stranger still are the enemies like ''Evil the Cat'' and ''Professor Monkey for a Head'' or is it ''Monkey with a Head of a Professor?''

Graphics- Above Average at the time this game was made for the SNES

Audio/Video - Everytime Jim takes damage You know, the music is some of the coolest around. I like the 3D-ish look of Andy Asteroids.

Reply Value - It will take serveral times to find everything hidden in the walls and stuff.

To Buy or Not To Buy? If you find this game in the Used Bin at the software store it would be a good game to take home.

Gameplay: 9 whipping the worm is fun
Story: 7 Giant suit falls on worm, news at 11.
Graphics: 8 Good Graphics at that time.
Audio/Video: 8 Groovy Sound
Replay: 6 You will never get everything the first few times through other then that there isnt a lot to come back to once you've beaten this game
Overall: 9

Despite the wackiness of this game and the fact once you've played through it thats pretty much it, I still come back to this game once in a while just because of the small things like the whip sound or Jim screaming or the bunge jump. I can honestly say when it comes to originality Earthworm Jim is more fun then a barrel of Professor Monkey for a heads
