ClayFighter 2: Judgement Clay
Review by Bloop182
"Go out and buy some clay to throw at people. It's more fun."
This game is fun for about 10 minutes before the control and game play make you turn it off. I think Jim's (not so) famous quote expresses my feelings the best: ''The best part was turning it off.''
Gameplay:
The characters are slow, most combos and moves are difficult, if not impossible, to preform, and the computer can be down right cheap, i.e. using the same move repeatedly so that you can't move or attack. Also the power of your attacks hardly differs. You could do a light punch and then a fierce punch and it will look the same, take about the same amount of time, and do about the same amount of damage.
Score: 2/10
Graphics:
The graphics are actually the only thing in the game that didn't want to make me set the cartridge on fire and heat my house during the winter even though they wer. There were a few glitches and some slow down at times, but that's something the you should expect from a Super Nintendo game. Also the levels are jokes. They only add to the slow down of the game. The background should be in shades of gray so the game won't move as slow as it does. Most of the levels are just lumps with a few figures that you can make out.
Score: 5/10
Sound:
If a punch is thrown in a really bad game does it make a sound? Yes, but not for another 3 seconds. How could this pass for okay? It's not even close to bad it's so low! The music is also very low quality and repetitive. Its almost like random notes being played over and over.
Score: 1/10
Replay Value:
This game has good replay...as a door stop. Good thing Nintendo makes their games durable, huh? Too bad it's not level because it would also make a good drink coaster. I bought the game over a year ago and only played it for the first week. I can't even get Funco Land to give me five dollars for it!
Score: 0/10
Buy?: NO! Do not buy this game under any condition! It is not worth the five dollars someone may be asking for! Go out to Wendy's and get a Big Bacon Classic Combo meal instead! It's more fun, tastes better, and you might enjoy it for about 40 minutes longer!
This game ranks down there with Quest 64 and those evil Star Wars side scrollers. The really sad part is that a Clayfighter 63 1/3 was made for the Nintendo 64 after this shameful disgrace was released!
