"A stunning, side scrolling beat-em-up"
With all the new and improved games, who wants to play an old SNES side-scrolling beat-em-up?!?
But i say, look back on the classics, for they are the breakthroughs of modern day gaming.
Gameplay:
This game is by far the most fun beat-em-up i have played in awhile. It brings out that deep-down will of everyone human to beat the living crap outta some bad guys.
The controls work well, and serve very efficiently for performing everything from simple manoeuvres, to the bone-crunchingly good combos we have all grown to love.
This game also offers different degrees of difficulty, but even on hard it is not a particularly strenuous task to beat Ninja Warriors Again.
A 10/10 for Gameplay.
Storyline:
Well basically you have the choice of three ''Ninja Robots'' who are to save the world from the evil bad guy that wants the world as his own. And your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to stop him at all costs. The whole storyline is summed up at the start of the game.
Not particularly great, but semi-original in it's time.
7/10 for Storyline.
Graphics:
Wow! The graphics in this game are stunning! Or something...
Although not graphically enhanced Ninja Warriors Again is amongst the leaders in the visuals category of SNES games. The character specifics are not in anyways pleasing to the eye, but, Ninja Warriors Again concentrates highly on the fluidity of the characters movement on screen, as well us the movement of scenery and the enemy. I personally like to see the green blood of my foes splatter the ground as i deliver yet another devastating combo, more than the particular expression on my character's face at the time.
I would have to say a 9/10 over here.
Replayability:
Although i relatively short game, Ninja Warriors Again has a very high replay value, i myself have beaten the game well over 7 times due to the fact that performing combo after combo on innocent little servants of the bad guy, and watching their green blood spray all over my tv screen seem to really make a game fun for me. ^_^
Very Replayable 10/10
To buy or to rent?:
Well finding this game to buy is difficult enough, to but to find it to rent from everywhere is more than likely a lifetime of a task. Also, because this game is not particularly well-known, most people will have lobbed it in the trash. Oh well...
My opinion; turn to emulation...
Overall:
A must play game. I would anyone who like to pull off combos and laugh at the big pile of pitiful enemies lying in a heap. Also a quick based game, so it does stimulate the brain and make the game more enjoyable.
In conclusion, a must for all of you side-scrolling beat-em-up fans out there.
A truly excellent game 9/10
