American Gladiators

"Does this game, actually deserve a 1?"

Why did they even bother? Gladiators was such a brilliant TV Show. The game tried to match it. If you had this game, you'll find out they should of called it ''Mini Games Collection 2 : Featuring the American Gladiators''. If this short disclaimer has not made you want to hate the game, you better read on....

Graphics - The graphics aren't polite either. Plain awful. Round saucers are round, grey mess, The Gladiators them self look like someone from a little kids drawing. I must admit, they did try and succeeded on the background (People). But the main graphics.... yuck! I'd rather look at a cup of tea I made... and that is BAD!

Game play - There are quite a few events in the game itself, trying to match the TV Show. But once landed in a event, you don't know what buttons do what, The first play is a gareenteed lose, you might win on the second time through (That is if you want to play it again). The controls are tricky, I have been pressing buttons, and still no luck.

The events in the game DO try to match that of a TV show though, From the climbing wall event, to the knocking each other off each others podium with a inflateable / Stuffed double-thingy. There is even a dodge-ball event, where you must hide behind boxes for cover. But make sure these events don't make you want to buy the game.

Sound + Music - Crowds cheering. Why would they be cheering? Would they be cheering because you bourght the game? That is what I think. The music is very bad. See that button on the remote? No, not that one, yes thats the one, ''Mute''. Press that whilst playing the game.

Challenge - Quite hard on first run. You won't know the controls. If you can handle bad graphics, awful sound and awful gameplay, buy it ^_^....

Also, at time going to press, they is no F.A.Q's for this game, I think that is because nobody wants to get far in the game, or be emmbarressed.

Alternatives - IF you want a game with mini-games, buy one of the Mario Party games for Nintendo 64. If want a Gladiator game, you are....quite stuck, as most of them are beat them ups.

Overall - DO NOT BUY!!! If you love bad graphics, sound and gameplay, be my guest. The store might even laugh at you, like they did to me. There is not even ''WOLF'' In the game, he was the English Gladiator badboy, who went to star in the American show a few time's.
