Battletoads & Double Dragon

"fun but hard"

This game lets you beat up anything you want. Even your partner! Almost everything that is a threat to you though. This game can be fun when it is and hard at times.

The graphic in this game kind of suck but it's sometimes pretty good looking. The graphics in this game look like flat cardboards . They either face left or right, but that doesn't effect the gameplay. The backround sometimes look bland (cough space level cough). The walls for all the levels have the same backround. The walls are the same color. At least the characters are made colorful. Their clothes/skin is ''really'' bright. the game is also bright although it has the same backround color. The bright color are what I liked about the graphics of this BT & DD. The graphics don't hurt your eyes when you play unlike some games.

The music is good. The game has some good tunes in. It's pretty much the best thing in the game. The sound effects sound great. It sounds real for some reasons. It's the ''second'' best thing in the game.

The game is practically a beat-them-up game. You have special levels where you can do cool stuff like
riding a tpye of motorcycle or fly a spacecraft in space and shoot asteroids. Then on some level you hang on a rope and climb/jump down a wall until your feet are on flat ground. The controls are responsive. There are also some funny moves you can do to the enemies. One move is when you grab a girl by her hair and start punching/kicking her. The game is perfect in gameplay so far until you come to the difficulty. This game is hard. When I say hard I mean losing a couple of lives just to beat a level hard. Besides that the game will be good for everyone ( newbies,casual gamers, hardcore gamers, etc.)

This game is best a renting game since you can beat it in a day(after countless tries). After you beat the game there is no secrets in the game. There is no point in buying this game unless you think this game is very fantastic which IMHO it is not.

Overall this a decent game with a between bad and good graphics, great music, and good gameplay(besides the difficulty). This one is a must-rent for fans of this genre if you're up for the challenge.
