Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Another Story
Review by Tuxedo Tom
"Have you been touched by the Silver Crystal? Well prepare to be in this great RPG!"
Ah... Now I have been a Sailor Moon since it began showing on Fox Kids nearly a year ago! I have
to say that it is truly a brilliant anime, my all time best, that is excluding Gundam Wing ofcourse!
But you do not even need to be a fan of the series to enjoy this game. Although it would help just
a little. I have never really played many RPG's that are not playstation bound, but I found this
one quite good fun. It, thankfully, features all the Sailor Senshi including Sailor Saturn. But my at
disappointment that you cannot play as Tuxedo Mask, like in fact most of the games. But still a
great game.
Story 9/10
Pretty damn good. It has quite a few story twists and there's no way of guessing what's happening
next and keeps you on the edge. It's a great story and let's you play against all the old baddies.
I don't want to spoil the story, but I'll just say it's really good.
Game Play 10/10
I have to say that the game play is great. When i first played it i got a little bored with it
after my save file was messed up and i had to start back from Mars' adventure and i didn't play
it again for about 2 months! I started playing it again because i was talking to a friend who
had already competed it and got me in the mood again to play it, and i hardly could stop! I played
it for a whole Saturday and Sunday and still hadn't finished it! You wouldn't believe how many times
my mum shouted at me to get off, and still refusing until she threaten to pull out the plug, the
threat failed when i just made another save file and carried on. She then got in a mood and then
I thought it better that i did... You will want to play this until the credits, it's that damn
good, and I loved the extra story with Ami-chan going to see Gregg and the senshi following her.
Re-play Value 7/10
As much as it is a good game, and being brilliantly translated, I don't think I would sit down
and play it all the way through. There are no side quests and nothing else to discover in the game.
There is the main story and nothing else, but I'm pretty sure you'll miss it and come back to it
in a couple of months after competing it and getting back into that great feeling you had when
you played it the first time.
Sound 8/10
The sound isn't too bad for a SNES game and includes some of the great songs from the series and
plays them pretty well, saying that I nearly killed myself while listening to Mars' adventure over
and over. It's best at that time to play some MP3's over the top.
Graphics 8/10
Pretty damn good for a SNES game. There are nice colourful pictures of them while they are talking,
the sprites are good, except for the fact that they use the same poses a lot, but I'm sad so
no-one else would have noticed that.
Overall Mark 10/10
I know that i gave the game some low marks, but it is such a damn good game I wanted, I felt, that
i had to give it perfect score. I loved it and I know any other fan of the series or comics
will too, and even if you are not a fan it's still a great RPG and explains Queen Beryl past
before she even become evil, and I even feel sorry for her (!) When you go back in time you see
Princess Usagi and Prince Ediymon(I think i spelt right!) talking before the battle.
Last thought
It is great, you meet all the old baddies and face them off and go back a 1000 years and forward
a 1000. It explains the story of Sailor Moon better and you see things you never would have
thought watching the series. I still can't believe one of them! And too think. I thought he was
gay!
Everyone will enjoy this, so download it now!!!
