Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety

"Maximum Carnage's Little Brother....."

This game is the sequal to Spider Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage, but you'll probably have a funner time with that game. The only thing that makes this game better is that this game has a 2 player mode, which is a HUGE plus. Anywho, if you a Spider Man/Marvel fan, then this game is a welcome addition to your library. If not, then this game may be hard to swallow unless you like beat them up games.

Graphics - 7
Dark. Very Dark. The enemies are bland, and most of the enemies are just colored replicas. The bosses look cool, thats why I gave the graphics a 7. Also the summons look really cool (green goblin, knight rider, and around 4 more). Spider Man and Venom dont have many animations, and Spider Man's super move looks really stupid, but Venoms super move looks really cool.

Sound/Muisc - 10
No annoying sounds or musics, so im happy. And the boss's music is really cool.

Gameplay - 5
Repetive. You'll probably beat it once and never touch it again unless you have a friend over that wants to play the game. The bosses are midly fun to play, but they have alot of cheap moves. And in the last level all of the previous bosses become regular enemies. The summons are really cool, but they arent that powerful. There are alot of cheap enemies, and some of the bosses are really tough. Like in one level you have to fight 2 bosses at the same time, which is really hard. And since the game is exactly the same with 2 people, you actual might wind up playing the game if you have a friend over.

Replay Value - 5
You'll probably beat the games 3 times max, and never touch it again. It gets pretty monotonous after a while.

Overall - 5
Average at best. While its midly entertaining, its only worth a straight out purchase if your a Marvel fan or you like beat em up games. If so then by all means this game should satisfy your thirsts until a game developer decides to make some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games, but that probably wont be for a while. If this game interests you, and you dont usually play games with your friends, then you might want to check out Maximum Carnage instead (this is the sequal to that game).
