"Does it Get Any Better?"
Mega Man... Just saying the name brings a smile to millions of people's faces. It's just one of the best game series ever to come out. Who can honestly say they've never played a Mega Man game? Even my 4 year old cousin has! With games in 2-D and 3-D, and games on the NES, SNES, GB, PSX, GBC, and soon on GBA, Mega Man is easily one of the biggest game series ever! In my opinion, Mega Man X3 shows how fun a game can be. Solving puzzles and fighting bosses in fun to do in this game. You'll never have a boring moment in this game because you're constantly doing something. Whether it's trying to fight a boss that has that one weapon you need to get the upgrade for your X-Buster, or finding a secret way to meet with Vile, you'll always have your brain and your fingers working. On with the review!
Story-9/10:
The story is the same as it is in any other Mega Man X game. 8 Mavericks and and you are a Maverick Hunter. Instead of your name being Mega Man, it's X. Including Zero being a good guy in this one, not to mention a playable character. It all fits in well enough to earn a 10 out of 10.
Graphics-9/10:
The graphics on this game truly push the SNES's processing power. Colorful backgrounds and nice character models give this game a nice look. A Bit of slowdown when there's a lot of stuff going on, but other than that, this game's graphics are great.
Sound-10/10:
I really like the sound on this game. Sound FX fit perfectly with what's going on on the screen, and music sets the atmosphere as well motivating the player to want to finish the level. The beeping when people speak can get a little annoying, but I'm not taking off for that because when people speak it's few and far apart.
Gameplay-10/10:
Solid control layout and responsive controls are in this game, and that's exactly what a game needs. Zero is a playable character now, which is great because it's fun to play as him. Especially off in the earlier stages because he's so powerful. The bad thing is you only get one chance per stage, and if he dies, that's it, he's gone for the rest of the game.
Replayability-10/10:
Multiple endings and different outcomes for enemies really help this part of the game out. You have to be a patient gamer to get all the stuff though.
Conclusion-10/10:
A great game worth buying, if you can find a copy. I suggest this to any gamer.
