"My FAVORITE game!!!!"

I know that a lot of people don't like this game. I don't care about them. I love this game, and I will tell you why! Keep in mind that this is just my opinion. Just because I say this stuff doesn't actually make it a fact. Let's get on with it, shall we?

First off, there is the...

Game play: Pretty much easy to use, once you get used to it. You use the d-pad to move. You use the A as action, B as cancel. You can change the controls, if you want. Kinda boring to sit here and talk about the control. How about I tell you about the battle system? It is menu based. You can attack, defend, use magic, use items, change your party (comes in handy when someone dies), you can do auto-battle. Auto-battle is where the computer fights for you. Good for weak enemies. You get eight characters, but only four can be in your battle party. The thing that I like is that everyone has there own special skills. I don't want to spoil anything for you, so I will only tell you about the hero's skills. He can change into dragons during battle! Cool, eh? You have to fight special bosses 1 on 1 with the hero to learn the different dragon change spells. I love this game! Moving on to the...

Story: I loved the story! You are a member of the dragon clan. A long time ago, the dragon clan had a goddess that granted their wishes. But she encouraged them to fight, so the light dragons and the dark dragons were at war. Then a hero came and locked up the goddess with the help of his friends. Now, the dark dragons are trying to free her again and it's up to you to stop them! You get friends that help you, of course. Next is the...

Graphics: Not much to say... Don't expect them to blow you away, or anything. It's snes! How good do you expect them to be?! Seriously, though, they are not impressive. But they are not bad, either. The graphics aren't the main draw of the game, anyway. Let's go to the...

Music: All right! Now we're talking! I love the music! Some of it will be forgotten by the time you turn of your snes, but some of it will stay in the depths of your mind and will resurface when you least expect it and you will immediately start to whistle and hum the tunes to your own amazement;) Next to the...

Replay value: It depends on if you use a walk-through or play through by yourself. If you don't, you will probably play it again once, maybe twice. If you use a walk-through, you will probably get everything the first time and won't play it again for a while. Common sense. I never used a walk-through and I am on my third time through it, although I think I have found just about everything. I still love this game!

Buy/Rent: If you are a rpg fan, definitely buy. If you are interested in rpg's, but only like certain kinds, rent.

Value: I paid $5 for my copy at a pawn shop. That was the best deal I have ever had! I would pay no more than $20 for a used copy in good condition. A new copy, however, is worth quite a bit more. Until we meet again, I will be playing Breath of Fire!!
