"One of the best action games! In 3-D!!!"
A while ago my brothers friend was over. He was playing StarFox for Super Nintendo when he told me that StarFox was the first game to have the FX chip. I asked him to tell me some other games with the FX chip. He told me Stunt Racer FX and Vortex. He then said he had never played it though. So he started telling me about and I had to get it. Here is the review.
Graphics are an amazing part in this game. It is truly remarkable. The enemies are well constructed and look amazing! It is a treat to the eye the way these graphics look. Lets not forget that everything is completely 3-D! The graphics are unique and one of a kind!!! The way your bot moves is truly amazing.
The story of this game is that a core is being held in a vortex and this core can create peace in the universe. But the core has been stolen by enemy warriors and the scientists that studied the core had been locked away. The warriors split the core into pieces and are hidden away and guarded by the warriors. it is up to you to retrieve the core pieces and resurrect the core to create peace once again.
The gameplay of this game is amazing! You play as a morphing machine, the first of it's kind, to retrieve the core pieces. The machine can morph into a land burner, sonic jet, walker, and a hard shell. The levels are very vast and require investigating the enter 3-D premiss. This game also requires thinking and a great deal of action.
The sound and music of the areas match the environment and suspense of the area. The music gives this game an extra tang that makes this game unique. It is very unique music that matches the area and adds a bunch of fun to the game!
The difficulty of this game is very high, even though it does have an easy, medium, and hard mode. But the game is not impossible on any difficulty, you just need to mess around and figure out the best way to pass an obstacle.
The replay of this game is very high. With 3-D levels it is always fun to go around and blow things up. The game also has unique training levels but the game lacks a multyplayer mode. But don't let that bother you because with 3 different difficulties, there will be hours of fun.
The controls are very easy to use but seem complicated. Once you get used to the controls this game will take off. It is very easy to maneuver your way around obstacles but may cause trouble once in a while. The game requires all the buttons to be used which adds a plus to the controls.
