Review by MoonChild

"This was pretty good RPG, but not the greatest. An honest opinion by a Sailor Moon fan."

PLOT: 9/10 What can I say? The plot was pretty entertaining, especially in the beginning. It successfully combined elements of the anime and manga to make an interesting story. The game follows the adventures of each senshi while each is by herself or in a group (and you often get to pick which members you want in a group). It explores things and provides adequate explanations about things that you always wanted to hear more about, but failed to ever make it in the actual series.

GRAPHICS: 8/10 I'd consider the graphics pretty good for a Super Nintendo game, but they still could have been a bit more creative with the attacks and stuff. They're not very interesting to watch. When the senshi talk, they always show the exact same motionless headshot throughout the entire game. I think they really could have done a better job with that.

GAMEPLAY: 6/10 Like many RPG's, this is one where you have to sit there for hours, wasting time, needlessly killing extra enemies to level up before a boss. It wouldn't be that bad, except the battle scenes are really dull and repetitive and some of the enemies take a long time to defeat. After a while you just really want to move on with the plot. Too bad they don't have a button you can press to turn off the attack animation and get the battle scenes over with faster. You just sit... watching the same attack moves over... and over... and over... And as for bosses, I mean, is it really necessary to defeat each of the four sisters and all Witches 5?

ENDING: 5/10 There's a build up to the ending and... that's it. It seemed to be screaming for something else. It just gave you that feeling like, Yep... It's over... Now what? I felt like some of the subplots were supposed to be come back and be finished off at the ending, but they didn't. It was like the gamemakers just got tired at the end of the game.

OVERALL: I definitely liked this game, however also have absolutely no desire to play it again due to its unending slew of monotonous battle scenes. I'd say to any Sailor Moon fan (especially those who like hearing about the Silver Millennium and the character's past lives), it's well worth a download! : )
