Dragon Ball Z Super Butouden 3

Review by Gen

"....What's the difference between 2 and 3?!?!?!"

Again…?

This has to stop. There's a THIRD of these demons! I nearly collapsed when I saw ''Super Botuden 3.'' I'm so sick of this. But you'll get your damn review…

Now when I played this, I was surprised to find that the graphics were even better detailed than that last one which I won't mention. The alternative is too frightening. Well polished, but I'm a little crabby that there's another Botuden to give another credit. (But Hyper Dimension was WAY better) Hyper Dimention had stunning graphics for a Super Nintendo game.

Characters were in along these lines: Goku, Gohan at 17, Goten, Chibi (Young) Trunks, Eighteen, Vegeta, Fat Buu, Supreme Kai, and Dabula, the evil Demon King. Each is well-balanced, except Fat Buu, but nobody likes him anyway. Although, i have to say, Supreme Kai looks kickass. Some of his attacks are really cool. I think they're the only ones that actually didn't come from the first or second game. On that note...

Each and every attack is spread through the characters pretty evenly, but all of them do the same thing in most cases. Ki attacks are no better than 2. They all do the same thing, and you can't stop it other than by executing a hard command at the exact moment. Oy. No originality. None.

Sound hasn't improved from the last one either. It's all the same, SNES tones. Different from Botuden 2, but it's not. WHY can't Bandai make 2 and 3 different?

About the biggest change, other than the characters and backgrounds and all, is the story mode. It's not here. It doesn't exist. This is a two-player only (Minus the VS comp). Whee. WHY they removed it, i don't know.

Although there are a few things that were cool. For instance, unlike Future, Chibi Trunks has Final Flash. Sweetness. Gohan, Goten, and Goku seem to all have the exact same attacks, and it gets irritating. Is it me, or does everything here just repeat itself in these damn games? It's not me.

This is short for a reason. It's Botuden 2, slightly changed. I can't believe that they just threw 2 into a different form, minus the semi-fun story mode. And besides, Trunks is way cooler in the other one. Come on, put some effort into this you fools!

Overall: C+
- It's Botuden 2 with different characters
- You want more stuff to be put in this review? Read the Botuden 2 review
- Meaning the attacks are the same, too
- So is everything else
+ Except for the VERY slightly improved graphics
- No Future Trunks…
+ But this one has Final Flash!
- No effort involved on Bandai's part.
+ It's fun dispite it's obvious lack of work
Stupid Comment: *Begins to dance around wildly* Da, da dup, da da, dah! DA-BU-LA!

(PS, forgive my semi-bad spelling that might show up. )
