"Painfully dissapointing"

When I first heard this game and read a review in a mag, they called it the best thing since sliced bread. I have searched far and wide for this game and when I finally found it I thought my luck had changed. Unfortunately, this game gets old - fast. Although the sounds are incredible and the gameplay is a hoot, the lifespan of this is long. I don't mean that it is a short game (there are near 50 games!) but I mean that it gets dull. Having to save your neighbors is fun at first but then you wonder what they're all doing walking about with flesh-eating Zombies anyway. Some of the bad guys are incredible difficult to kill but this doesn't really make the game any more fun. Taking 30 minutes to navigate you way aroung a maze and finally when you crack it, a monster eats the neighbor is just not my idea of fun.
However, the game is not all bad. There is a huge array of weaponary ranging from water pistols to bazookas and the two-payer mode is amazing as you can inflict pain on each other and so if your mate leaves you to eaten by a gang of zombies, you can blow his head off with a bazooka!. The best idea for this game is probably to get a Game Genie and then find a huge bunch of cheats for this game. That way, you can have all weapons and any level you want and then nuke them baddies!
The storyline is a laugh as you have to go round and save your neighbors from the forces of evil but that is where the originality ends. The levels are all similar (They are even called similar things!) and you'll soon find yourself cursing at the telly.
Overall, this game is a good laugh for about a month but then it gets dull. It is slightly better than its predecessor (Ghoul Patrol) and I would recommend it but only if you can find a copy for £5. If you are a real 'stayer' on games then give this one a shot as it is very good if you can ignore the dullness that you notice after a while. It may be because I expected so much and didn't get what I expected but I will still keep mine and maybe one day I'll find hidden depths in the game.
