"An RPG at its worst!"
RPG fans, you wont be too happy to find this game just doesn't make it. Don't touch this game! Don't buy it, don't rent it, don't borrow it, don't download it. And if you have it: don't sell it, don't give it away. Trash it!! Further details...
Concept/Gameplay: 7 (For RPG newbs)
Okay, basically you have to get to a certain place. You go through a long adventure, but in this game, it seems pretty short. Anyway, you kill monsters which give you more experience. If you get enough you gain a level. Not like, you go to a new world, but get tougher. Your stats start to raise and you will notice new strength.
There are also weapons, armor, items ect. you can buy from stores for the right amount of gold. Gold comes from every monster you kill. The tougher the monster, the more experience and gold you get.
For this game, you choose from seven different characters at the beginning. Each with a unique style of battle. For example, a human mage, is more for spells then attack and a tetutis is all out brute strength. What you choose is up to you.
Story
Your character (or you if you prefer) has trained for the past five years. Now its the time to test your skills by finding the seven runes hidden around the planet even if it means death. The good thing, this isn't just a test, if you manage to collect all of them you will have tremendous power and become the leader of the world!
Difficulty: Very Hard
This game is very difficult to beat. You wont get real far and there are some parts where the difficulty level just shoots up and the monsters are hell!
Even if you use a game genie, it takes away some of the few strategies of the game and exterminates the fun factor.
Info/Levels:
. 7 different classes to choose from: Human (warrior), Dwarf, Elf, Alien, Tetujin, Human (mage), and a Demon
. 9 different stats: HP, MP, Power, Guard, Magic, Speed, Weapon, Defend, and E X
. Monster randomizer for only some areas
. Monster radar
. You lose when you die
Too difficult = no fun
Battle System
It is a take turn kind of thing. First you, then the enemy, and it repeats until someone dies, or someone flees from the battle.
There are six battle commands while in battle: Attack, Defend, Magic, item, status, escape.
Graphics: 1
Eww...so nasty. The graphics are really crappy. The enemies are not well in detail and sometimes it could be a little blurry.
Music/Sound: 1
The music also is sometimes very blurry and is as plain as it can get. Even worst, some of the music and sound just doesn't match. The battle sounds are okay, but the Enix could of done a lot better. Well, maybe it was because it was in their early years of gaming.
Replay: 4
After dying so many times you would you really want to play it again. After how far you get, this game would make you real frustrated but since there are seven different classes to choose from at the beginning there is some value.
Overall: 1
Like I said before, don't buy it, don't rent it, don't borrow it, don't steal it, don't borrow and never return it, don't download it. And if you somehow have it: don't sell it, don't give it away! Trash it!
