"What Star Wars does to video games is amazing."

Star Wars has always had a place in my heart, so deep, that only if I was split into two equal pieces with a hot iron I would still love it (does that make sense to any of you, readers?) Star Wars games are really what show the true lasting power of a movie over 20 years old now. Super Return of the Jedi was the best Star Wars game in the early 1990s, and still holds up today as one of the best Movie based game to date.

As with most Star Wars games, they fallow the plot to an extend. Like a Shield Generator on the Forest Moon (it isn't really Endor, it's just the moon of the gas giant) wasn't really a maze where you fall to your doom, and you can't fight with chewie in the rancor pit, but who cares? If they didn't it would be a boring game. If you don't know the plot of Return of the Jedi, you must have been under a rock, on Pluto, with your fingers in your ears, and humming Happy Birthday for 50 years. But, if you really don't, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker kill the evil, old Emperor, and Han and Princess Liea kiss, and Wedge, Lando, and Wicket are the coolest, but you can only play as one of them...kinda.

Back in the day, these were dang good, which all the character looking like the ones in the movie, and with the character choosing screen, you see real photos of them. The levels are well done with a bunch of little knik kacks added in to each level. All the effects are amazing for the SNES, and many colors were used in each level. It is amazing what you could do with Star Wars and all of it's wonderful beings, ships, weapons, and the force. At the end, they should the ending pic of the movie, which I love.

Gameplay: 10
Though this formula of action and platformer that has been used many times before, but I still love dearly. With Star Wars just makes it better. There are more than just platformer levels though. Some levels have you racing across land (like the first level and Endor) or some take place up in space (like with the Falcon and the Death Star.) The only real gripe I have with the gameplay is that instead of a battery, you must use a password system. Which is Horrible for people with bad memory. However, I can deal with it. Otherwise, everything else with the game is great. I really can't find a huge flaw in this game.

Sound: 10
With parts of the Star Wars music in it, how could I not give it a 10? All the music is very dramatic with what is going on with each level. I love it. It's great. I Can't get enough of this game. Though a few times the sound just shuts off in the middle of a level, I think that's just my SNES.

Fun Factor: 10
This is one of the best games I have ever played, literally. I just love this game to death, if video games could die. I have Star Wars. I have Video Games. I have the best of 2 things. I'm a happy guy.

Buy or Rent?
Buy this sucker up and play it, otherwise you will regret not buying it and end up with Barbie's adventure.
