Barbie Super Model

"A bad game through and through"

When it comes to excitement, the first name that usually pops into my mind is barbie. If you haven't noted the sarcasm, this is the time to clue in. This is no doubt one the worst games I've ever come across in all my years of gaming. Developed by some no-name companies (Hi-tech expressions and Tahoe Software) this 'game' does little but blow. Here's the review in split up category-type mode:

Graphics: Crap-tacular. Repeating backgrounds, cruddy looking sprites, and bland color schemes revolving around pink dominate this game. 4/10

Sound: Beats me. I'm emulating the game and my sound card doesn't work. Probably upbeat and crappy. x/10

Story: Non-existant. You're a super model who wants to do things. You then proceed to do those things, and end up on television. In terms of story, this game is truly lacking. 1/10

Gameplay: Bad. I won't go deep into controls, they're quite basic. Confined to moving your character up and down and moderating your speed, it would be really hard to not make decent controls. The main problems are to be found in what you do with those controls. Here are the only four levels:

1. Driving- drive Barbie, drive! Avoid cars. Pick up stars and hearts.

2. Rollerblading- blade Barbie, blade! Avoid people, frisbees and birds. Again, pick up stars and hearts.

3. Walking- My personal favorite level. Barbie is at a ski resort, and she spends her time walking the streets avoiding ice.

4. Biking- You ride a bike. Through a park. A bird always hits you, it's unavoidable.

Yes, that's it sure there are some awful 'mini-games' (matching clothes and makeup) and you have to master your runway skills. but that's it. If you're not an idiot you should be able to beat this in under an hour. 1/10

Replay Value: I'm not even getting into this. It's simply not there. 0/10

So, in closing, if a super model simulator complete with cat-fights and induced vomiting is what you're looking for this is not it. If you're a six year old girl with an incredibly low mental capacity, however, this is the game for you.
