Breath of Fire
Review by Disco Frog
"A classic RPG that started a great series"
This was a classic RPG that spawned 2 sequels and had a great storyline. Squaresoft and Capcom made a very entertaining and different RPG.
Graphics - 7/10
Ok, I wasn't really impressed, but the graphics aren't bad at all, since its an older game.
Sound - 7/10
This game had the usual RPG sound effects but had a groovy soundtrack.
Story - 8/10
I was caught into the storyline early on. The characters were cool, but not as well developed as the ones in FF3. Other than that, this game had a higher than average plotline.
Control - 9/10
The controls were simple and easy to use, also at the beginning you can set some of the controls to your liking.
Gameplay - 8/10
There was nothing really new to the combat system in this game, but there were some cool extras, like fishing and hunting. The only real downside to the gameplay that your character walked very slowly which could get annoying after a while.
Overall - 8/10
The graphics and sound of this game were average, but the controls and gameplay really brought this game up. If you are able to find a copy of this game, I suggest that you check it out.
