Demon's Crest

"The most underrated game ever!!!"

Yes, you read right! Demon's Crest is the most underrated game in the history of video games EVER!!!

It all started about 6 years ago. I went to my friends house and he was playing a game. My first reaction was that it was like a Castlevania game (and I love Castlevania) so my friend let me play it and I was instantly hooked. Throughout the next year I borrowed Demon's Crest from him about 9 times. And then one day he decided to sell his SNES since he was getting a playstation and an N64. And another friend offered him $20 for it and I said that I played it enough and that I didn't care if he got rid of it. Then shortly after that I wanted to play the game. Man I was kicking myself. But fortunatly, I was able to find a used copy of it a few weeks ago.

Demon's Crest is a great adventure platformer for the Super Nintendo. It was made by Capcom (one of my favorite game companies). And it is the third installment in the Gargoyle's Quest trilogy. This game sold horribly which I just don't understand because this game is AMAZING! It is one of the best games out on the SNES and if you don't have it then find one soon.

In this game you control a red demon known as Firebrand. You travel around the land collecting items know as Crests. There are six crests, fire, water, wind, earth, time and heaven. Each Crest allows Firebrand to change into another demon form that has its own unique abilities.

The graphics for the game are amazing. They are very detailed and full of rich color and it gives the game a dark, gothic look.

The music for the game is as good as the graphics. Very creepy and epic. This is some of the best music I have ever heard on a video game.

The controls for this game are very smooth and simple. the buttons constist of the typical jump, attack, special, etc.

The game has a great replay value since it has multiple endings. Plus a game this great looking and sounding will have you playing it over and over again even after you've seen all the endings.

Overall, Demon's Crest is an amazing game that should have sold better than it did. If you loved the first to games in the series and other similar games like Super Ghosts N Goblins, Super Metroid and the Castlevania series then get this game, I'm sure you can find one used for a decent price.
