"As Wacky as a Saturday Morning Cartoon"

When I first played this game, it was a rental. A few days later when I had to return it, I absolutely loved it. I can't remember how I got it, but I own it now. When I think of this game, I think of the good ol days. But anyways, you're not hear to listen to me remember this game, you're hear to listen to me review it.

Graphics: 8/10

The characters look straight out of the T.V. show and the backgrounds are all colorful. The court does not change much, but the background does from place to place. Bright colors really give this game a cartoony feel.

Sounds: 10/10

The main theme is quite catchy and I'm humming it as I type this. The character voices are amazingly re-created and everyone says there catch phrase, like Bugs Bunny's ''Ain't I a Stinker'' and Sylvester's ''Thufferin' Thuckatash''. This is also one of the only sports games to have a song run in the background of the whole entire game. That song isn't the same five notes repeated over and over, it is a full song.

Gameplay: 10/10

This is one of the better Basketball games out on the market even comparing to todays games. You collect Gems (money) to buy special moves like Eclipse (the screen gets really dark), Long Range ( Each one of these is different for each character), or Defense (these are different too). The wackyness ensues as characters drop Anvils on each other. And it is very satisfying to watch Wile E. Coyote strap a jet-pack onto the ball, then watching it backfire in his face. Or striking your opponent
with a bolt of lightning.

Replay Value: 6/10

After a while, the one player games will start to get old. But if you have two players, the game won't start to get old for a while. If you are lucky enough to find that four player thingy, you can have even more fun with this.

In Conclusion

Buy this game if you can find it because most rental stores don't have SNES games in stock. It is a lot better multiplayer, but still very fun single player. The only other basketball game that compares to this is NBA Jam. In both games, people can ''Be On Fire'' but only in this game can you drop an anvil on someone.

Well, that's all folks!
