F-Zero

"A good 1-player racing game"

If you have to have one racing game for SNES, the main choices are Mario Kart, and F-Zero. If you live alone, I'd suggest F-Zero. If you have a big family, or always have friends over, go with Mario Kart.

Graphics and Sound: 9

Loverly use of Mode-7 graphics, limited car designs though. Some backgrounds beat that of the N64 version. Still can't believe they left out Death Wind on that thing... What?! Oh, also, sound effects and music are very good, and appropriate.

Gameplay: 9

Well, there's no multiplayer. That's almost become a given, heck now we're upset when there's no 4-player mode! However, if you can get into the tournament modes, you'll get a kick out of it. Frankly, I never did, but my sister's beaten all the courses on this game. And that Fire Alley, or whatever looked hard!

Overall: 9

Like I said, if your a partying fool, get Mario Kart. If your a recluse who's 40-years old, who lives with his parents, get F-Zero. Or, if your looking for a futuristic racer, this is one.
