"The best of the series!"
Capcom doesn't know when to stop. I gave up at Mega Man 4 but when Mega Man 7 came on, I was intrested. Capcom delivers a great 16-bit facelift to a fair 8-bit game.
Of course being on the SNES, the sprites are all larger and more colourful compared to its NES predecessor. Backgrounds are improved, and much more detail was put in, I think.
The sound is a bit upgraded, with classic charging sound and explosions. Music is fair except for one outstanding piece, Bass's Theme. All pieces fit well and add to the game.
Controls are still the basic jump and shoot so you won't have to worry anything.
Gameplay is still very Mega Man with its jumping and shooting and well, that's pretty much it. One thing I liked was the introduction of Bass, a mysterious robot who well... I wouldn't want to ruin the story, would I? He continues to appear in Mega Man 8 and will probably appear in later games.
Capcom will probably dish out more Mega Mans and the sucker I am, will probably get them all. Did I mention how much Protoman rocks? 'cause he does!
