Mega Man Soccer

"And I was hoping for Mega Man Basketball..."

I don't remember when this was released, but it was probably a time when Mega Man was at its prime and most popular. Capcom delivers a bad soccer game, but an funny game nonetheless.

The game's graphics are fair, at least you can keep track of where the ball is. The animations when a person gets hit by a Super Ball Attack are hilarious yet that won't save the game from sucking.

Sounds are well, pathetic. What else did you expect me to say?

Controls are simple: kicking, passing and super attack.

Gameplay is simple. You are Mega Man and uh... well I didn't pay attention to the story but I assume Dr. Wily is trying to take over the world by uh... winning the World Cup or something. So you have to take a team of Mega Man clones and take on teams of clones of people like Wood Man, Cut Man and other robots. When you defeat a team, you can put that person in your team, only once though. Each character has statistics that tell you the positions they are best at. Then you fight Dr. Wily and uh... you save the world. Whatever...

A poor game which is quite fun... for about 30 minutes. If you are a rabid Mega Man fan who actually owns the Rockman X manga, you'll probably want this. If you find this game for $5 bucks, it'll be a good buy. Other than that, steer away. Don't even rent it. ^_^
