AAAHH!!! Real Monsters

"A painfuly annoying game"

This is another of those games that you can swear that it must have taken the develoupers 3 hours to make, and I'm sure if you could be bothered it would take less time to finish.

Graphics 2/10.
The graphics are pretty much terrible and basic. The background seems to be repeated to much, and looks like a peice of cardboard put up behind it. The graphics look 100 times worse than the cartoon, which werent that good anyway. Its almost as though the makers of the game TRIED to make the grphics as bad as they could possibly make them. They must have, if they had put real effort in, then Ekis would look so stupid in this game. One of the biggest let downs of the game.

Sound 2/10

The music is sratchy and annoying, it would be better to play the game without it. Practically the only other noise is Eckis going 'ye-oh' ever time one of the monsters hit you. Another major let down.

Game Control 5/10

Atleast theres no real problems about being able to move around, yet theres nothing special either. You can jump, throw fish bones, turn large and roar, or jump a large distance. Like i said, nothing special.

Character Develoupment 0/10

If you had never seen the cartoons, you would have basically no idea at all what was going on. You could proberly figure out the three characters are monsters, but ive never even seen there names mentioned in the game.

Storyline 1/10

There realy is no stroy at all. You only objective is to reach the finish line. That and stay alive, to not get killed by little rat-like figures. It the same basic objective seen in other disapointing games like Ren and Stimpy and Waynes World. So basicaly there is no real storyline. What else can i say? (please note: rhetorical question).

Replay Value 1/10

I cant realy see any reason that you would EVER want to play this game again, except if you havent played it for 5 years and you have forgoten how bad and boring it is.

Overall 3/10

It seems that there are a lot of games like this on the SNES. There is nothing about it that is enjoyable in any way. A real let down on the cartoons i used to enjoy. You might want to have a look at it if you have seen the cartoons, but otherwise dont bother. Another truly disappointing game, it stole 30 minutes of my life, and i want them back!
