"Once again, the Megaman X series improves"

Megaman X is like Megaman, but it's not really Megaman. Confused? Well you shouldn't be. Megaman X is a robot that was built 100 years after Megaman. Thus Dr. Wily and Dr. White are both long dead. But don't fret. Dr. White is still there to give you power ups, but he's a holographic image hidden in a big capsule. And there's a new bad boy that X has to worry about: Sigma.

Of course, all of these things apply to all of the Megaman X games, but Megaman X3 is by far the best of them all. Just like in Megaman games, you choose which level you want to go to, go through the level, beat the boss, and then you'll gain his weapon. Unlike the Megaman series, all the bosses do not end in "man". They are just robotic animals, but they're just as tough.

Graphic-wise, this game is superior to the other X games. It looks great, and plays great, and it just feels great. The game controls like a dream too. The sound is good, but not good so much that you'll have it stuck in your head all day long.

In this game, not only do you get your normal enhancements like in all of the other X games, you can also get one super enhancement, to enhance your X buster, boots, or whatever. This adds challenge to the game, as you have to figure out which of the super enhancements you want; you can get only one. Also, probably the best part of this game is that you finally get to play as Zero! True, you can only play as him in the normal levels, and never against a boss, but playing as Zero really makes you look cool! However, if Zero dies, he's gone for good, so be careful.

If you have a super nintendo but no Megaman X games, this is the game of choice. The other two are great, but this one just surpasses them. Rent it if you can, buy it if you like it, but one thing's for sure: you're gonna have a real good time!
