Secret of Evermore
Review by PContaminator
"Squaresofts worst title in a long time"
This game looked cool enough when I first saw it and I thought it was the sequal to secret of mana. When I played it however it turned out it had nothing to do with secret of mana. The game starts off where you get sucked into an artificial world created by computers and you must find your way out. Sounds cool but the story is ruined because of the boring repetitive gameplay, the horrid music, and the lack of team members.
GRAPHICS 8/10- very good graphics will try their best to pull you in but don't be fooled!!! This game is one of those that is slapped together in a week. if any real thought went into this game it would be better.
CONTROL 7/10- The controls are easy to operate but since you only get two characters the control is boring. Also when your main character dies you lose the game even if the other one is alive.
SOUND 1/10- AHHHHH! The music is horrid simply horrid the game would be better off if it had none its so boring and so stupid you may prefer to play with the sound off.
STORY 6/10- The story itself is cool but it gets ruined because only two characters are in the damn game. It really pisses you off to see Squaresoft creators of Final FantasyII & III, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger sink this low. If your looking for a great SNES title from Squaresoft try the ones above.
REPLAY 2/10- NO side quests which is one of the esential keys in any RPG in this game. And who would play this game again.
OVERALL 4/10- TRY A RENT AT THE MOST!!! This game doesn't live up to squaresofts standards at all. So if your looking for squaresoft titles pass on this one. I know that squaresoft is capable of better.
