"Greatest Pool Game...EVER!"
SIIIIIIIIIIIDE POCKET! This game is the best party game I think the SNES ever had, except for possibly the later Madden games that allowed up to 5 players. Side Pocket allows your luck or your skill to go head to head with your friends in a battle for who is the best pool shark. In this game you have different games, but it all comes down to pool. Up to two players in this game only by the way. In your career mode you take on different cities such as New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles plus more. The objective of the one player mode is to hit the balls into the pockets in a row or in numerical order. This racks up more points, you cannot advance without X-amount of points per each city. Also at the end up each stage is a bonus shot that allows you to gain extra shots on the table, in this mode of play in the career mode you are given so many shots for your career, and if you run out of shots you lose the game. If you miss bonus shots at the end of a level, you are not allowed to go to the next level which makes this game one of the hardest games to date, nothing has really ever been written of this game either which is surprising to me since this game was really good. Side Pocket also features the a trick shot game to give you practice to become a real deal shark at the tables. Also you have two, two player games. One is a best of 7 game to see who can rack up the highest score. Also there is a mode of play that is your basic 9-ball game. The graphics aren't that great but they serve the purpose, the sound is pretty good too. You also have the ability in this game to shoot with english on the ball. You can do some crazy stuff in here. Also in the two player mode, Player 1 is Paul Newmen from the movie "The Color Of Money" and Player 2 is Tom Cruise also from the same. Good game, highly recommended!
