"A surprisingly good fishing simulation"

::Introduction::
Hmmm... fishing. The only sport you can take a four hour nap and call it sport. Fishing itself is a nice, relaxing, activity for people with patience. The same goes for this game.

::Gameplay::
This is where the game scores high points. If you've ever gone out and fished, and been any good at it, then you'll find this game a little easier. The key to winning is to know where to fish, how to reel one in, and above all, PATIENCE. Driving the boat around is simple enough, and the lakes aren't so small to be constricting, but also aren't large enough for you to get lost. Actually trying to lure in a fish is where the real skill comes in. First off, you have to find the fish. The, after you've chosen your lure, you have to attract it by jiggling the lure, and slowly reeling it in. If it bites, set the hook and reel it in, but don't let it get away or let the line break.
The basic premise of play is to win each of the tournaments you enter. You are given a time limit, and you must catch the biggest bass you can. At the end of each day, your fish are weighed in, and the heaviest are totaled. If you come in first overall, you'll move on to the next tournament with a password.

::Graphics::
Though the graphics are sub-par, they are adequate. Trust me, it's a lot easier to see a fish hiding in this game than in real life. The only water effects you'll see are when the fish jumps and when you move the lure. The fish aren't extremely well animated, and only have a handful of sprites. The main difference between many of the lures is the color, so don't expect much variety there.

::Sound::
There are some reasonably nice ambient sounds to listen to. The sound effects for breaking the line or hooking a fish are quite distinct. The reel sounds nice, and the boat's motor is adequate. Music, however, is nonexistant during play, so crank up your favorite tunes when you play.

::Replayability::
This game can take you a good while to complete, especially if you're not that great of a fisherman. It's can also be entertaing, just to have contests with friends to see who can reel in the biggest fish.

::Tallying of Scores:: (out of 10)
Gameplay- 8/10
Graphics- 7/10
Sound- 5/10
Replayability- 5/10
Overall- 6/10

::Final Recommendation::
If you're a big fishing fan, this would be a good SNES title to pick up. If you're mildly interested, it's worth a rental. If you do like it however, you'll have a lot of fun.
